Is there an August '08 waitlist thread?

We are currently booked for BCV Studio from 8/19 -26. Wait(ing)listed for a 1BR. Airfare doubled, last of NE passes will be used this trip, decided at last minute to splurge on room (if possible) and then skip the trip in 2009. So, it the waitlist comes through, it means no WDW in 2009. I don't know if I really want it to come through I'm considering it up to the pixies! Good luck to All!

With all those new owner developer and incentive points, we have 2 weeks planned in August at OKW.

So far, the first 4 nights - 8/13-8/17 - studio - reserved

8/17-8/21 - waitlisted OKW 2-BR (but will probably take ANYTHING - LOL)

8/21-8/27 - OKW - 2BR reserved.

Wish us lotsa pixiedust for our first trip "home"

I'm not on the wailt list for Aug but September. We added 100 points to our SSR contract this weekend. We got SSR 1 bedroom for Sept 6th to the 13th. We are on a waitlist for AKV 1 bedroom savanah view. I really want to try AKV. But I truly love SSR so either way were going back. There was only one night not available for AKV and it was the 7th.

I just got on the waitlist today for a Standard Studio at AKV for 8/10 - 8/14. Right now we have those 4 nights at OKW. I don't really know what to expect. I guess we'll just see how it goes!

OK, so we had:

8/24 - 8/27 1 BR @ BWV
8/27 - 8/29 1 BR @ BCV

We had wait listed for either a 2 BR @ BCV for the whole time or a 1 BR @ BCV for 8/24 - 8/27. The 1 BR at BCV just came through!

Now we have to call back and get back on the list for a 2 BR!

I've called a few times, and the weekend is always open, but I don't want to have to move while we're there, so I only waitlisted the whole week together. I'm still hoping! Good luck to everyone waiting, and congrats to everyone who got their wishes!

We're waitlisted for a 2 bedroom boardwalk standard Aug 25-29th. Been on the waitlist for about a month now, I think. They had 2 of the 4 nights available, but not together. I wasn't willing to move that much if the others didn't come through, so I waitlisted for all four nights together.
Right now we have Aug. 25-Sept. 1st at Saratoga Springs.

My DD and I are taking a girl trip 8/21 to 8/27. She has always wanted to stay at AKL, our home and favorite is OKW. I got the first night in a SVS and then the next 2 nights in a DVS and made the rest for OKW and waitlisted for the remaining 3 nights at AKL. Nothing was showing up so I called and got 1 more day. I only have 2 nights left but she's okay with how it is. I was glad I got the first night in a Sav view for her sake but I am a little leary with the discussion of construction 24/7 and keeping the animals away but at least we'll have the experience that first day. We're both fine but are hoping not to have to move twice. She'll be off to grad school soon, so it'll be great no matter what happens. My only concern having never done this before, when a waitlist comes through, do they automatically cancel what you won't be using. Sorry if this a dumb question but I can't seem to log on here at home but have no trouble at work and am just concerned that I'll end up using points for a room we won't be using. Thanks.

if you don't mind me asking when did everyone book their dvc vacations at the 7th month or after that???

also, isn't it a pain to pack up everything to go to another resort or does it just an exciting thing to go to another resort??

WooHoo!! Just did my daily DVC site check and see that our last waitlisted time frame for August at OKW just came thru.

Within the 2 weeks, we'll be moving three times...am I going to regret this???

Now - I need my one more day at BWV for F&W on November 3....

Woohoo! Our waitlist for Aug 4-7 came through today. We were set to stay at SSR but now will be able to try out AKV for the first time! Since our daughter loves giraffes and my wife is planning a safari theme for her 2nd grade classroom, we are really happy the waitlist worked!

We were waitlisted for a studio in any category, and ended up with a std view. So we'll have a view of the pool (sounds fine to us) and save 3 points over what it would have been to stay in an SSR studio for three nights.

Yesterday must have been a good day, I checked and I got my studio for check in 8/17- out 8/19 and it was for beach club (my first choice). I cannot wait to tell the kids and show them the pictures of it. Now all I have to do is to book 2 nights at Sanibel for 8/15-8/17 and the accommodations are complete.

I checked online every day since we put the waitlist in about 45 days ago. I have to tell you it was a little bit of a shock when I checked yesterday and saw that it came through. I said to myself, "Wow, this waitlist thing really DOES work sometimes!"

We have a savannah view studio at AKV for 8/3 - 8/6 and a concierge studio for 8/6 - 8/9. We have been waitlisted for a concierge studio for the first 3 nights since I booked 4 or 5 months ago...It will not be the end of the world if the wait list doesn't come through...but it would be SOOO nice if it did.

I check the member site every day....I think if it the reservation info actually changed I would fall out of my chair!!

I think we need some pixie dust!
