Is there *always* a bounceback offer?

Due to differing flights, I will be checking into a value resort for one night in December before moving over to the Swan the next day to join the rest of my party. Since I will be headed back next June with my family, I was hoping to secure a bounceback offer for us during that stay, especially because we'd like to stay CL.

I was curious if they always offer you a bounceback offer, even if you only stay one night?

And does it matter if you're staying value and want to book a deluxe? They don't only offer bouncebacks for the same resort classes, right? If so, I would consider changing our hotel for December since the bounceback savings would far exceed the difference in the cost of one night.

Thanks for any insight.

When BB's are offered, they are offered at all resort levels. The offers are no longer left by housekeeping, but are included in the welcome packet you receive at check in. If, by chance, you don't get one in the packet, call X8844 from your room and ask what offers are available. You can book any resort/room type as long as it's available under the BB promo.

I guess that's what I'm confused by: If you don't get an offer in the welcome packet, you can call this number and they'll give you a BB? Or they'll tell you that, sorry, there isn't a BB offer?

Other than holidays that change (Easter) is there a historical list of when BBs are offered and when they're good for?

Sorry for the multitude of questions, but I've never returned to Disney so quickly after another trip, so a BB was never an option.

We stayed club level at AKL in June and did not receive a bounce back offer.

Don't worry about asking a lot of questions.....that's what the Dis is for :goodvibes.

Yes, you can call the number and ask if there are any BB offers :). Sometimes things get left out of the packet and some guests don't get the offers, but when a BB is offered, it's offered to everyone staying on property at that time. The extension to call to book is the same number you can call to inquire about a BB should you not receive a flyer.

Here is a link to mousesavers that has a list of historical discounts, but I don't see any bounceback offers, except FD that's offered in Aug/Sept for the following year in Aug/Sept.

How do the BB offers work? Do you have to put a deposit down on another trip before you check-out? Can you cancel it later without a penalty?

I'm wondering if I happen to get one if I should just book it and decide later if we really want to go back.

I was thinking the same thing anyone with advice?

I have booked several BB's and I have always had the choice of making the deposit at the time of booking or within 7 days of booking. If there is any chance that you can take advantage of a BB, I'd book it as it can always be cancelled/modified later (pending availability), but once you check out/leave, you are no longer eligible. Some people have reported that they were able to book a BB after they've left WDW, but I wouldn't count on that as you are required to book on or before your check out day. You can change your resort, room type, dates, etc later on as long as what you want is available under the original BB offer. Packages require a deposit of $200 with the balance due 45 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 45 days or more prior to arrival, there is no penalty; otherwise, you will be charged a $200 cancellation fee. A RO reservation requires a deposit equal to 1 night's room rate + tax, with the balance due at check in. If you cancel 5 or more days from arrival, there's no penalty; cancel 4 days or less from arrival, you lose your deposit of 1 night's room rate + tax. HTH :).

It's the same as any reservation. For a package (FD), it's $200, cancel within 45 days for a refund. For a room only, one nights stay for a deposit, cancel within 6 days (I believe) for a refund.

When I was at WDW in May, I was thinking of booking a bounce back (kicking myself now :headache:) and it was a room discount. You could only get the discount on the days they specify where as FD your check in date needs to fall within the dates specified.

For my dates, I would of had to book two reservations as only 6 out of 10 days I wanted to book were covered by the bounceback.

What are typical BB deals? Are they the same as general public discounts or better?

Thanks for the good info.

Is there anything anywhere that lists the dates/resorts that are usually offered for BB? Or does it change fairly frequently every year?

Normally, it wouldn't be a big deal to just sit and wait and see what I get offered (if anything) in December, but I'm making three reservations for two weeks: Two on points and one on cash. The third leg of my trip needs to be booked in November on points, and if we get a 35% discount, I'll stay an extra night on cash; if we get nothing, I'll probably shave a night off and need to change the points reservation.
