Just wondering if theres any Disney cruises that kids aren't allowed on ?

Don't fancy a cruise with all those screaming kids !!!

Want to know the funny part? I've taken about 8 cruises, and only one of them was the Disney Magic. Guess which cruise had the LEAST amount of child interaction for me?

Disney. Yep, that's right, Disney.

I was able to enjoy the adult pool, which was very quiet.
I found the other adults-only areas on the ship, too.
There's an "adult" meal rotation, and I did second dining seating.

Sure, I saw kids in other areas, but I didn't find them running amok around the ship like I have on Carnival.

I have read here that Disney also limits how many kids could be on a cruise, and I don't know if the other cruise lines do that.

So if you think Disney = screaming kids, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how easily you can avoid it.

(And FYI, I like kids, but I don't have any.)

I think it is very difficult for people with children to understand people without them. And people without children to understand people who have them. Everyone expects everyone else to understand and respect whichever position they hold.

Being a childless couple, I understood what the OP was asking, and (obviously) was not offended. However, it is a Disney cruise, so there are always going to be children on board. But Disney does a wonderful job of giving the adults their time without children around. I would recommend cruising during the school season, and choose the late dining (we had a full dining room, but free from crying little ones on our 7 day). As was mentioned, Palo is a good place for quiet dinner/brunch. You should also consider booking a verandah-for quiet times (guaranteed).

I find the children do add to the atmosphere, make it more fun, but there are times that I just like to be able to get away!

If the OP thinks this thread is bad, he should see when people talk the fact that Disney should have an 'adult only' resort and dining room. Boy the sparks do fly then!!!

And we loved it.
You were given 2 good pieces of info.

1 Opt for late seating.
2. Go Sept. or Oct. when the little ones are in school.

We loved it every time we have been on board.

We did go with Princess to Alaska this past May and that was our first non DCL cruise. Service and food did not compare. We will do DCL next time.

By the way, our son and his wife afre adopting from Russia next month so on our next trip we too may be contibuting to the noise level but not in the adult only areas.

Go fo it Doc.

oh man, oh man, oh man....

I don't have children either...DBF and I don't want them - we have our horses and our kitties and we're in our forties and don't want to have children this late in life...that said?

guess who will be wearing her Minnie Ears getting on the ship on 9/9 and acting like a kid! That's right! ME:bounce:

so...if people don't like to be around kids on Disney cruises? LOL...well...my guess? They'd better stay away from some of the adults who go to Disney specifically to BE kids again:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

without the kids on board as well?? FUGGEDABOUTIT.
It's not Disney without kids...and this is from someone who's never wanted any of her own.

And adult resort, etc? NOT Walt's idea of perfection - no way..

We will be cruising without children on Oct 23, 2005. We have two wonderful "kids" age 21 and 22. We traveled often with them when they were young and tried to make sure they were well behaved, but I do remember a couple of meltdowns. I am glad I don't have to deal with all the little hassles anymore, but I do enjoy watching the little ones who are not mine enjoy themselves. But it is nice when they get a little rambunctious that "I" don't have to deal with that aspect any longer. Enjoy your children now, they grow up much too quickly.
But don't forget, while you are on vacation, your parenting responsibilities do not end for those days. It is still your responsibility to make sure the little ones behave and remember their manners. It is understandable that children and parents can feel overwhelmed sometimes. That is the time to take your little darling to your room for a little one on one quiet time and maybe a shared snack. You and they will appreciate it.
Well, that's my parenting advice for today. Hope it doesn't "step on any toes".

Yes, its called Carnival Cruise lines.

Disney really isnt the place to be either on land or sea if you dont like kids around. Mickey has a magnetic effect like that in drawing kids of all ages.
