Is there a website out there that will tell me the cost of flights to all destinations instead have having to pick each destination separately?

Let's say I am looking to go somewhere next weekend, I have my dates but don't really care where I go I just want somewhere cheap. Is there something that if I plug in the airport I am flying out of and my dates that will give me flight amounts all at once so I can then decide where I want to go?

Does this even make sense to anyone other than me? :upsidedow

I understand what you are asking, but I don't know of a site which will do this. You would be asking for information about many hundreds of flights a day! Better to chose a few places you might want to go and check those. You could look for deals on sites such as this:

http://www.smartertravel.com/airfare/

Be warned, airfares are higher the closer to flight date. So you'll be paying a premium fare for travel within a week, unless you luck out on a sale.

I figured as much since I couldn't find one.

We usually fly Southwest and I wish they did something like this:

Departing airport: Buffalo, NY

Dates: 11/4/2014 - 11/5/2014

Cost per flight: Less than $100/pp

Then they would give me a list of everywhere they file for those dates within my price range.

Are you listening Southwest?? I want this!! :rotfl:

Google does this. I don't believe it lets you set the amount you want to spend but it will let you enter where you are flying from and then you can put in for example the US and the date ranges you are willing to fly. It will produce a list starting with the cheapest first of where you can fly.

It is called Google Flight Explore (I think)

Here is the link.

You should also check out the website sky scanner. That is another one with great research ability.

Thanks for the link!! That is kinda what I am looking for.

Kayak will sort of do what you want. If you go to kayak.com/explore, you can put in your home airport and then a map will show you different cities with the flight amounts. If you click on the amount, it will pull up the dates and flight info. You can only narrow it only by month, though, not specific dates.

Interesting - I hadn't heard of this before.

SW has an interactive route map. It's called "Where we Fly" or something like that. It's not exactly what you were looking for, but it could narrow things down, I'd guess.

I want that map to tell me where they fly during a time frame and price point that I choose, that would be perfect.

SWA does not publish their fares on 3rd party sites such as expedia, Travelocity ect. You can only get their fare prices from their own site.
