Is there a way to thank a CM for doing something extra special?

We were at Blizzard Beach last week and it started to rain. A few lifeguards came and got under our shelter during the storm. My 8 and 5 year old were really sad that their waterpark day was ruined. Then the lifeguards let the kids bury them in the sand and vice versa. My kids had such an awesome day because these lifeguards. We got some great pictures too. They helped make a ruined day into one of our most memorable. I did get one of their email addresses, so I can send them the pictures we took. They want to display them on their bulletin board. But I really wanted to let their boss know how much they cheered up my children. They also helped cover my infant with a towel, so we could make it to the bus without her getting drenched. They really helped spread the Disney Magic on a rainy day!!

We did get pixie dust on this trip. We had an awesome time, even with a 4 month old, and no one got sick.

I LOVE that you want to do this! I'm a HUGE believer in telling managers and such when people have made something extra special. I LOVE to do things like you want to do for others! BRAVO! More people should be like you!!!!!! it makes a HUGE difference to know you are appreciated doesn't it!

My daughter wrote a nice letter praising a bus driver we had, Bob I think was his name, one day of our trip this past December. He really was a great guy. I don't know why, but it seems like most of the nice drivers have left. : Anyway, she received a phone call, from someone in WDW, letting her know they received the letter and thanking her for taking the time to write it. Shows that they do read all the letters they get. I'm sure the bad ones out weigh the good ones and I'm sure the cast members appreciate it when someone does acknowledge them when they do a good job.

I have sent a few e-mails regarding some special pixie dust that we received on our trips. I have always received the normal e-mail back that says they received the msg, but a week or so later I received a phone call to let me know how much they apprciated the information. They also said that a copy would be given to the mgr or the person or hotel and that sometime in staff mtgs they like to read them out loud to the CM's and staff. They will also give a copy to the CM that you are praising. They appreciate the good kudo's because they do not get those that ofter. I used the e-mail address that was posted earlier here. Glad you had such a great time.
