Is there a way to bypass Daytona?

We will be headed down to Disney next Saturday, July 2nd. This is the same day as the Pepsi 400 NEXTEL Cup Race at the Daytona Speedway.

I have heard that traffic will be terrible before the race. The race starts around 7:30.

We plan on being in the Daytona area between 12:00 and 2:00. Is this early enough to miss the race traffic, or is there another way around Daytona.

It might be, but I wouldn't chance it. Traffic will be heavy on 95 all day.

I take it you are talking I-95. If so take I-10 West in Jacksonville to I-75. Then south to the turnpike, south to I-4 West to Disney.

It's a good idea to stay away from Daytona on race day!!
