Is there a way to block a cell phone number?

There are ways to block specific incoming phone numbers. We are having a problem with someone calling on a cell phone and there doesn't seem to be a way to block those numbers because according to our phone service provider, "The network doesn't know about cell phone numbers". Seems to me if I can see the number on my caller ID I should be able to block it even if it is a cell.

I'm sorry- I posted this and then realized you were asking about blocking a cell phone on a house phone. I was just gonna say you can block a number on a cell phone cuz I did it on my DD's phone. So consider this a mute point

I've never seen a way to block but I'm actually looking for a way to block a cell phone from calling my home phone.

I feel your pain! We paid to subscribe to a blocking service through SBC, but lo and behold! it only works to block land line calls! If there is a way to block incoming cell calls I don't know about it. I tried repeatedly to block a cell number but the blocking system kicked it out every time.

That sucks! Other than changing your number it doesn't seem that you have any way to do it.

I was hoping that you were asking about on a cell phone too. I have a couple of numbers that I would like to block on my cell phone. If anyone knows, I would love to know how. We have Tmobile, if that helps. TIA!

Go through your settings and see if you can find the ability block a number. You will need to know the number to type in. Ours is Verizon, but perhaps T-Mobile has the feature also
