We are going to need to buy swimming diapers for the baby, and they are nowhere to be found here at home in January! I'm also figuring of getting some cereal and fruit and granola bars etc. Is there a Walmart or grocery REALLY close that we should stop at on our way in before checking in? TIA!

we use it often, you need a car and it is a decent drive. It is located on the east end of town right on 192.

Ask the valet at your hotel how to get there. They gave us great directions. We stayed at the AKL, so if you are staying there I will be glad to tell you. It is a super wal-mart and the prices were great. We had a baby and nneded diapers and only paid $11 we usually pay more at home.

I will warn y'all... the Wal-Mart on 192 is not the one you want to go to. It's constantly packed, it's dirty, run down, no one speaks English, and everyone is rude. It's a horrible, horrible store.

The alternative is to go to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Sand Lake. It's probably about a 5 min longer drive, however, trust me... it's worth it. It's clean, people are more friendly, and it's not nearly as crowded as the 192 store.

It's on the corner of Sand Lake Rd and John Young Parkway... Not that hard to get to. Check Walmart.com for directions.

When I enter Disney's zip on the WalMart site it lists West Vine, West Colonial Drive, SO Kirkman Road, East Osceola Parkway, and the one you mentioned. Is the 192 one, one of the ones I mentioned? ~:D~

192 is also called Irlo Bronson Hwy, and also West Vine Street... very confusing, I think... pick ONE name and stick to it... but no... LOL...

You can buy swim diapers at the shops at the resorts...if tha'ts the only thing you're going to WalMart for. Yes, they are more expensive, but the time and aggravation factor has got to be worth a few bucks...

The Walmart that CHip Express is talking about is great. I go to that one quite often. If you need directions I can give it to you. I live off of 535 and its about 20 mints or so.. It like 5 mintues from Sea World. The one in 192 is scary.

You haven't visited the one near US!!!! 192 is not that bad compared to one up here.

But, could you give directions to the other one. cannot hurt to have choices.

Thanks

We found the 192 location clean & the employees courteous. The problem was it was SO BUSY. It was always hard to find a place to park and we had to wait in the checkout lines.

They developed our photos though and did a great job.

There is a Super Walmart on Osceola Pkwy. just west of the FL Turnpike. It's about 15 miles from the AKL.

we stopped at the 192 supercenter this morning and was the most horrible and frightening experience ever at a walmart

my wife asked a person with a walmart name tag where the single cans of pringles were located, the man looked at her and said on the top shelf in the middle of the isle- which was around 25 feet high. my asked if he could get some down- he said he didnt work there and she could kiss his a**. she replied " you dont need to be so rude" he went beserk!! he started threatening her verbally and saying what he would do to her and stalking her and our 3 children. come to find out he was a KEEBLER vendor stocking his product. As we were leaving he was shadowing her and our children by the front door, waiting for her to leave. My wife called me on the cell - i was in the car- i arrived and called the manager and security and the police- the manager handled it well but i couldnt believe this happened at a walmart- we live 20 minutes from the headquarters and have grown up on walmart.

STAY AWAY FROM 192 WALMART SUPERCENTER

That is scary, but it sounds like we need to stay away from Keebler employees, not Walmart! There's no excuse for anyone being treated that way, but Walmart is not responsible for their vendors' employees. It sounds like a letter to keebler is in order. I'd send a copy to Walmart too.

I'm going to check out the sand lake store on our next visit. Thanks for the tip!

192 Walmart.... Are we talking about the walmart behind the midevil times? I am shocked at the experiences that I am reading about. We routinely go to that walmart to stock up on pop, chips and whatever; and I dont recall the store being dirty or the staff rude. It was extremely busy though.

Yes, the 192 Walmart is the one near midevil time. It is always very busy and often is dirty and understocked due to the constant traffic in the store.

I would suggest the new Walmart on Osceola Pkwy. It is clean and the staff is usually friendly.

A letter to Keebler is definitely in order!!!! Get their info from the internet or go thru planetfeedback (are they still around?) but start yelling!!!!!!!!

I think I'll stay away from the 'scary' Walmart, too. I'm a little confused, though. I'd like to stop at a supercenter on the way from the airport to wdw. I don't know the area at all so how far should I expect the drive to be and is the store in the same general direction? I looked at the Walmart website and didn't find the maps too helpful. I think it looked like the Osceola Parkway location is my best bet?
