Is there a time period when wait list come through

This is more a general question than specific question. Has anyone noted when most wait list get activated, if they do. 30 days 3 months 6 months out? Also has anyone observed the same with dinner reservation. We usually can get into California grill less than a month out and sometimes by walking up in the contemporary lobby the day of. I have been checking Be Our Guest and the California Grill for a month now 3 times a day and nothing available. Just curious if anyone had noticed if there is a timing to when people seem to be making changes. It just seems I have never had this much trouble getting reservations in the past but I have usually been doing it less than a month out.

Don't know about the dinner reservations but just had a BWV waitlist come through 4 months out. I was frankly shocked that it came through so soon. I've had several come through weeks/days before a scheduled trip. No real pattern. I believe most will come through right around the 31 day cancellation mark.

When are you looking or the California Grill? I know they are closing for a refurb soon. They will be closed for like 6 months I believe.

As far as the waitlist, we've had it come thru at 1 month and 1 day twice in the last few years. It seems people often wait til the last minute, just before the points would go to "holding", then cancel.

DVC waitlists can come through at anytime, particularly if it's for one or two nights. Obviously, at the 7 month mark and the 30 day mark is your best shot, as those are times everyone has a gut check on whether to move forward with their scheduled vacation.
