Is there a show you like from "across the pond"?

Torchwood!!! Loved it!

Just started watching The Choir - Gareth Malone is the cutest thing ever!

No shocker here! First, The Office. I'm sorry, but no matter how funny Steve Carrell is, it just doesn't compare to the original.

2. Whose Line...I could be having the worst day ever and this show just makes everything right!

Well, Doctor Who for sure! I also enjoy Top Gear.

UK Whose Line, Merlin, Primeval (ok so I have a crush on Connor thanks to Alice!) and Top Gear (so much fun!).

If you like some of the tv shows try some of the radio shows, Old Harry's Game from radio 4 and Revolting People are both really funny.

My current addiction (even though I watched it years ago) is a show called Connections. It illustrates how one invention can lead to another and yet another, etc., and how some seemingly small thing can change the entire course of the world.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for the Young Ones and Monty Python. ;)

I agree about The Office/ Ricky Gervas. Steve Carrell drives us CRAZY. Terrible. All the other characters on the US version, ok... but we've actually changed the channel b/c of Steve Carrell!!

Can someone confirm this: was Sophie from Leverage on Coupling?

This isn't current, but I *loved* the "Robin of Sherwood" series from the 80's. I also enjoyed the original version of "The Office".

Fawlty Towers is about the funniest show ever made. I also love As Time Goes By.

We do however love Steve Carrell here. Can't watch The Office without him.

Luckily, I live on this side of the pond! My absolute favorites are:

Peep show= about two dysfunctional roommates (Mark & Jeremy)
Little Britain= these guys are too funny!
Little Britain USA= funny to see other's perspective of America life and culture!!

I own all of these sets on DVD as I just never get tired of watching them!

Fawlty Towers is about the funniest show ever made.

:thumbsup2 I totally agree with you. John Cleese is just hilarious.

I loved Life on Mars--a million times better than the American remake. DH is a huge Dr. Who fan. I also really enjoy The F Word with Gordon Ramsay. And, an oldie but such a goodie, Monty Python.

It works both ways, though. Last time we visited my in-laws in England, they were watching a season of House on dvd and wanted to know if I'd seen it. ;)

I must be a bad Brit - I have never watched Dr Who!

My all time favourite US show is not much of a surprise - Friends. We watch it through time after time and I STILL cry when Rachel says "I got off the plane"
