Is there a secret to accumulating credits?

Hi everyone!

So yesterday morning my daughter went onto our character and spent the 1500 credits I had painstakingly saved up...lol.... To her credit (and she is only seven), she did go and click on the various free credit opportunities around VMK.

Anyway, I'm wondering, is there a secret to getting so many credits? I read here that people have 10,000 or so, and a couple of very generous Disers bought us some ride tracks recently (thanks Chickysmom...my daughter was thrilled as you know!). I'd love to be able to buy other people things (as well as having credits to spend) and "pay it forward".

I know I could create another character and get more credits, and buy things and give them to the first character, but that's a bit too complicated for me, plus we really only play VMK on one computer in the house. Is there any secret to collecting lots of credits as a single character?

I have used the codes given above...that's how we got to the 1500. I do know about the credits awarded for some games as well. But to get to something like 10,000...that would take hours each day I think, if not more.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!!

Hi RG :),

I was the same way when I first joined (after my DD, Mickeys Music was on for at least a month). When I saw how many credits things were worth in the stores, I was like -- how the heck do people make all those credits to buy stuff!?!

Well, I quickly found out that you have to play games to make good credits :). I fell in love with haunted mansion, and can easily get a few hundred credits per game. And since the quests forced me to play fireworks again (I wasn't good at it way back when...I've been practicing and I manage around even more credits per game there. I still hate pirates, so I don't even bother with that.

Then when they were offering 500 credits for selling back the free everest chairs we got from Yeti Vision, I must have sold back enough chairs to make at least 10,000 credits there.

And finally, I SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, LOL. I make enough credits to buy stuff for Mickey and me (b/c she would much rather chat than play the games ;) - and when I go down in credits I always try to play the games again to set an even higher goal for myself -- you never know when they are going to come out with something neat (like the Quest Kiosk).

Hope this gives you some ideas :).

Best,

A Days~

I get most of my credits from Fireworks, which pays 1300 credits per game if you pass 240,000 and don't come in first ( )

1 game is about 10 minutes, if there are no dc problems, so in the space of an hour, that's 7800 credits. I don't hit this every time because not all games end up with two players higher than that or I end up in first or I dc. But if you time your hour of fireworks right, you can do it. In the space of a week you can get beyond 50,000 credits this way.

Took me more than a month of continuous practice to get good enough to do this, and I have to tell you, the more you have, the more you spend! lol :teeth:

There really is no way to get around it --- you just have to play the games lol... I stink at fireworks and don't enjoy playing it because you don't get ANY credits if you're not decent at it (pass the third level, I believe). Being ousted from the game depends purely on who's playing against you --- sometimes you're in a lobby full of newbies and other times it's all the great players. So honestly, if you're not good at fireworks and you're looking to bank the credits right away, don't waste your time there. You could spend 5 minutes playing and have nothing to show for it. If you are good, then it is a great moneymaker.

You don't get any credits if you don't win the game of Pirates either, but I think it's easier because even if you stink, sometimes your team ship will sink the other two for you. Just make sure to stay alive yourself or else the round ends as soon as you sink. ALWAYS play against the computer--- it does the exact same formation pretty much every time. Don't play against other players if you're not good. (I wish I had this option in fireworks lol) You can play with good people on your side to help you advance. Once you get to be a level three ship and are pretty good, you can easily beat a game in under a minute and get 100 credits. Frankly also, level three is really easy to win in because you can become invisible at will. It's a little boring if you're playing by yourself, but might possibly make you the most money the fastest.

You always get points for Jungle Cruise, but only 20 credits a game. It's what a lot of newbies and people with slow computers do. I like to run it in the background when I'm working lol...

I like Mansion a lot because if you play against good people, you can average 350-400 credits a 3 round game (which lasts about 8 minutes). And most of all it's fun because you can play with other people. However, this game depends greatly on the skill of the people playing with you and their computers. If someone's got a slow computer, all of you are going to be moving in a frustrating mound of sticky jam. Also, if the other person absolutely doesn't know what they're doing, you won't get many ghosts yourself --- the amount of ghosts that come out depends in part on how many of each color is caught. So you can play three rounds and only get 200 credits if the other people aren't very good. Also, a lot of dc-ing in this game.

Good luck! :) And find some Dis-ers to play with you if you need help!

A real easy way to get credits is to do an NPC (nonplayable character) run each day. By clicking Yeti, Dragon, Blackheart, Ned, Esmerelda, and the three ghosts in Haunted Mansion (Phinneas, Ezra and Gus) alone, you would get 160 credits - 20 credits from each of them. If you remix your music then play it at the Music Game, there is another 50 credits. So, by clicking the NPC's and doing the music, there are 210 credits.

Now, if you time this credit run correctly, you could do it twice a day! You can do your first credit run early in the morning, just after vmk opens, then another credit run 12 hours later. I know this can be a pain, and I don't do it every day, but 420 credits is a pretty good pay for maybe five minutes of work twice a day.

what i used to do is whenever i had to do my hw i used to let my charcter play the ned game and kept on checking back to make it start again! so that's 20 credits about every 6 minutes so that's like 500 credits in one hour by doing nothing! and then whenever i made mules i used to sell all the clothes on it(if you have a boy mule it can rack up about 200 credits just by the clothes) also if you are not very good at pirates if you hang around in the lobby a lot of people will be willing to help you! I helped people win invisible magic by going on my mule and then helping them win! usually i just needed them to not get in the way of my cannons and we won 26/30 games! that way i get a invisible and credits and so does the other person! that way i'm not charging! LOL JK and even if the other person doesnt do anything it is easier to win because the pirate ship of the computer that's supposed to help you just gets in the way! so if i ever get reinstated i'll be there to help you! :thumbsup2

Thanks guys. I have been playing the Pirates Game (bad idea!) and the Fireworks Game (my max score is around 65,000 I think). I should go back and play Haunted Mansion some more I guess! (I'm also stuck on the Jungle Cruise game as part of my space quest...I don't think I'll ever get to 30,000!)

How do the kids play this?

BTW, has anyone succeeded at the Tomorrowland game where you have to move around the arrows to go through the hatch? I can't get past level five...tough game!

Thanks again!

Until you get good at the games I think the easiest way to get credits is to play Yeti Vision and play for the seats. You get 200 credtis for every code and you can sell the seats for 50 credits. Best of all you can play when VMK is closed and accumulate them to enter into VMK the next day.

Here's a link to download the game. And yes I play LOTS of Fireworks.

Check the players guide at the top of the board. It has tips for playing the games and solutions for the Tomorrowland game you're talking about. There are also a couple of one time use codes worth 500 credits. There is also a sticky for the new Tomorrowland which explains how to play the Tomorrowland Quests. It also has scoring tips for the Jungle Cruise game. You just need to keep practicing playing the games, but in the meantime try playing Yeti Vision and sell Yeti seats.

Unfortunately, not everyone can play Yeti Vision. My computer does not like it for some reason. :( Hopefully the OP can play it.

Yes. Check out all the tips for playing games in the sticky threads.

I started out just as bad as everyone else with the games. Now I'm much better at them. I still can't get 240k on fireworks very regularly, but I still am able to get over 200k and earn 650cr. My main game that I became good at is Jungle Cruise. If you reach the top 10 list there, you get 750 credits each time. The best time to try to get top 10 on that game is usually right after opening after they've (hopefully) cleared the list from the day before. Just read the tips provided (by the best JC player).

I also have become proficient at Pirates (mainly by myself and against computer) and pretty decent at HM. And don't worry about trying to gain lots of credits right now. Just try to gain enough to keep in case there's something that comes along that you and your daughter may want.

Another thing you can do is what we call nedding. That's "playing" Jungle Cruise. But you don't actually play. You can let the boat go on it's own while you do something else. Or, If you want to remain actively playing, just crash the boat into the sides as soon as you can. I've (as well as others here) became able to do a "game" in about a minute or less. You can easily get 200 credits by actively crashing in about 10 minutes time. :)

Thank you all!

I played the Haunted Mansion game and got about 200 credits. That was fun...I didn't realize you could get so many credits during the game.

I also downloaded the Yeti game and played. I got the codes and my daughter fell in love with the chair so I couldn't sell it...lol. It seems like it would be boring to play the game over and over, no? Same every time, right?

Thanks for the tips on Jungle Cruise. Since I'm still trying to get to 30,000 points on that, I will go read the tips and try to work on that game so I can earn credits while I try to finish the quest!! (How do you play without getting in the boat?)

Thanks again guys!

Unfortunately, you have to get into the boats to play. But as soon as you do, you can back up and crash into the walls until you run out of gas. :)

But yes. A good way to get practice in is by doing the quests. :) Keep working at it. You'll get there. :)

When we started playing I was in the same boat as you =and because we rode boats a bunch- we visited Ned quite often

Used to let my daughter "window shop" then make circles for how many times she'd have to crash a boat at the dock to earn 20 credits that would add up to what ever she wanted to buy- slow and tedious

of course Music mix is good too you can do that hourly (sometimes more I know I can do it about every 10 minutes) and remix (just save after you open it) both get 25 credits each time

of course the NPC credits area great and if you can time it to do two runs in a day it is good too

it took a long while before I built up credits and then they seemed to keep growing- when they gave away ice and increased all the credits a while back is when I built up my nest egg of about 300k so now I don't worry much- and playing all the quests have increased my credits too

I get frustrated playing mansion and I just don't like pirates but love fireworks and can score high enough to get top five in almost all games I play- so that is 1300- to almost 700 points a game depending on what I do

The suggestion for the Everest game is the easiest way to build up credits- you get 200 credits with each chair code you enter- plus if you sell them back that is 50 credits- so 4 codes is 1000 credits- boring to get- but really a lot less than nedding would be lol

When playing the Yeti game if you click your mouse a second time when you move from room to room you skip the movies. If you do this with Episode 3 you should be able to finish the level in under 2 minutes. You need to set a timer though because if you try to get a prize sooner then about 5 minutes the game won't give you one. What I do is start the timer as soon as I get a code, start Episode 3 again and play till you get the message after doing Yeti Roar. When the timer goes off I click okay let the movie play for a little bit click again and wait for the next prize, then repeat. You can go off and do other things while waiting for the timer to go off. You can also copy and paste the codes into Notepad or Excel instead of writing them down.

I play fireworks a lot i hate the other games i used to be really rubbish at fireworks bc i just didnt get it. But now i can comfortably get 200,000+ every game which gets me about 650 credits per game. I dont think i will ever get past 240,000

I've made at least 40,000 on the yeti game and have a large collection of rare stuff from trading the chairs. And I get top ten in cruise at least once a day.

You don't have to be broke in the game...

I have started playing fireworks a lot. I finally am able to get over 200K every time. I love the fireworks game, I'm trying to get enough credits for a Quest machine. I need 8,000 more.
