I know this is a stupid question, but is there a scale in the gym or in the spa area?

I've been doing Weight Watchers for 7 monhts now and even though I plan to enjoy myself, I'd like to keep track of my weight to make sure I'm not TOTALLY blowing it :earseek: I don't mind a 5 pound gain, but don't really want to see more than that

Yes, there was one on the Magic last May. I image the Wonder has one also.

I managed the cruise without any weight gain. What worked for me was to LIMIT the portions and plan ahead to leave food on my plate. I also explained to the servers at the beginning of the cruise that I NEVER clean my plate so not to be hurt or feel that I didn't like the food if I left some. By killing the "Clean your Plate" dragon, I was able to have pretty much anything I wanted but choose to stop before I was stuffed. Also since I don't drink alcoholic beverages, I had a little more leeway on the food.

Also i walked around the decks with DD or DH several times a day.

That is a good idea! I hated how they felt bad if I didn't finish everything, but it is just to much food and I wanted to try some of each course. I still remember one of our servers commenting about how the chef was upset over the amount of pasta returning to the kitchen. It was really GOOD! Really! But I just couldn't eat it all and I hate feeling stuffed.

I am going to try your approach and just be up front from the beginning. I had wondered if my DD and I should share a meal because she doesn't finish hers either.

Thanks CM MOM - Doing WW has been all about portion control, so hopefully I'll take what I learned on our cruise. I plan to hit the gym each morning or atleast walk the deck and everyone has suggested taking the stairs anytime I can.

Having just returned, I was really pleased at how the portions were very reasonable -- it was a nice change from restaurants where you usually get overflowing plates with enough for four meals. It made it much more feasible to eat sensibly and try a variety of things.

The hard part is the buffets (especially Palo brunch) -- that's where you have to watch your portions LOL!

Palo Brunch is one time I just pigged out...counting on late dining to give everything a chance to digest before we ate again. And I ate EVERY BITE of the filet at Palo also. Some things are just too good to pass up.

On splitting with DD...I shared with DD and with DH but we all ordered something different so we could try more things without wasting the food. A couple of times I asked our servers to bring extra plates. They were great and we had a fabulous time.
