Is there a rule about being drunk in the park?

To get back to what the OP actually asked about- the only "rule" that I am aware of is that if you are obviously intoxicated the bartenders may refuse to serve you, just like anyplace else. And if you are too loud and obnoxious you could be thrown out of the park. Assuming you are responsible adults who know their limits, then go and enjoy. Just make sure that your GF is aware that the heat and possible dehydration may affect her ability to tolerate alcohol, and to act accordingly.

As an aside, I like what a PP mentioned- sharing your alcoholic drinks. That way you can each enjoy a taste of the drink without downing too much alcohol at one time. Easier on the budget, too!

Would it be best to avoid (for the most part) world showcase on Saturday and doing the rest of Epcot then and then do F&W/WS on Sunday. Or should we mix it up some?

I would avoid the Food and Wine Festival on Saturday night. Any Saturday night. It will be PACKED! And I mean, *will stand in lines for fifteen minutes to get anything* packed. Then you shuffle off to find no place to eat or drink. Food and Wine Festival on a Saturday night is only for the bold.

I would go Sunday right at 11:00 AM to enjoy.

Ignoring the rest of the crap talk about drunks and disorderlies.

That's sound advice. Sunday sounds like a better time for us. We will just have to fill the rest of the time on Saturday with other attractions, and maybe go over there later to people watch.

Even Agent P has a good time in Epcot.

I don't find anything cute, charming, endearing or funny about a lot of people.

I just want to compliment you. I just sat down to read the boards and your posts have really made my night :goodvibes You've been calm, intelligent, and witty. I've found myself wondering where the thumbs up button is for each one of your posts :thumbsup2

MoonFaerie I really feel like people forget that there's something in between sober and falling down drunk.[/QUOTE said:

Not stirring..... Wasn't thinking of the devil it rhymes with corny.....

Someplace between tipsy and falling down drunk. I thought it was funny. Guess not.

That's another thing that happened during F & W. We passed a guy on his cell phone and he was screaming "I'm so (word that rhymes with corny)". :rotfl2:

The 8th dwarf........corny ....... Lol

will probably get flamed for this but we are not big drinkers at all and the Food and Wine is full of people with way to much alcohol in them. we stay clear of WS when F&W going on for that very reason. we no longer shop over there when it going on at all. will go so far as they stopped the smoking now stop the alcohol OR contain it just to WS only. we have went to WDW back when there was no alcohol at all in any park. was mighty nice.

I can't remember a time when there was no alcohol in any park, but there has never been alcohol in MK. I'm pretty sure Epcot and DHS have always served alcohol, no?

There have been MANY threads on the DIS about whether alcohol should be served in the parks, and I'm firmly in the "YES" camp, even though I don't drink (don't like the way it tastes or smells and even one drink will make me want to curl up in the corner and take a long nap). There's no reason why people shouldn't be able to enjoy a drink or two (or three etc) responsibly. I consider "responsibly" to be not getting drunk.

I don't know why they wouldn't sell. It's just like a sporting event. It's a great way for them to make a very good profit. As long as everyone is over 21 and not hurting anyone it should be ok.

Anyhoo again, I'm excited to go there and try a few drinks from around the world.

We were on POTC one time and some guy behind us was throwing up into the water almost the whole time. I was amazed he was allowed on the ride. After the ride, some CM's approached him to ask if he was ok and he just said "I think I got sea sick.":rotfl: The stupid CM's believed him and let him go on his way.

:rotfl2: he must have sobered up a little with all the puking to come up with that response :thumbsup2
