Is there a resource to see what DLR attractions are particularly rough?

I have back issues so am wondering what I need to avoid. Is there a resource already out there? I searched and didn't find anything. I did see talk about how rough Matterhorn is and my husband told me Indy is out since it's just like Dinosaur in WDW, which he has ridden and says it is rough.

For comparisons sake, I can ride Everest or Rock N Roller Coaster in WDW once per trip. I won't ride Big Thunder or Space Mountain.

Thanks!

I'm not sure that there's a list. Matterhorn is probably the roughest ride. It might be easier if you mention the rides that you are interested in and people with bad backs can let you know their experience. My daughter has chronic back problems and most rides bother her, even the "baby" rides because of how the they keep stopping the cars when getting to the off loading area. However, the free falling in the Guardians ride actually make her back feel better.

Pretty subjective topic. I find Big Thunder and Space Mountains to be tame. I find Rock-N-Roller Coaster to be the roughest ride at WDW or DLR.

It really depends on the person, I think, though some rides are especially bad for your back, like Matterhorn and Indy.

I have a bad back, too, and avoid all the roller coasters. Mickey's Runaway railway was a nightmare for me. Teacups are one to avoid, too. Star Tours was too rough.

Surprisingly I was able to ride Rise of The Resistance with no problem. My physical therapist was at Disneyland the week before I went and she gave me the go-ahead to ride it because even though it has some drops and sharp turns it's smooth.

Last time I went to DCA I asked a plaid which rides would be ok for someone with a bad back and she gave me a list. I wish I still had it so I could tell you what it said. But you could talk to a CM at both parks and I bet they'll be helpful.

If you're okay with having the rides spoiled there are probably POV/ride through videos of probably everything at DLR by now. I'm not sure if it would help, but it might.

Just make sure when riding Peter Pan that you are not leaning back when it comes in for landing...that stop is quite abrupt and jarring. I have found it doesn't bother me if I am sitting straight up. Sounds weird but it'll jar your fillings out 😂

There's compressive forces on Smuggler's Run, especially due to who's piloting, so I don't recommend that one. Star Tours, imo is less jerky compared to Smuggler's. I've never been to WDW, but Big Thunder out here, has a smooth track, since they renovated it some years ago; it used to be very rough imo. I still don't recommend any of the mountains necessarily, but avoid Matterhorn at all costs.
Autopia - cautionary bumping, don't recommend
Goofy's Sky - no
Screamin- no
Mickey's Runaway - eh, it can be jerky during Daisy's dance, the Twister, and the engine crush area
Pirate's - bumpy on loading dock
Rise - one drop, but it's smooth imo, mild jerks
RSR- it's a smooth track. accelerates and decelerates smoothly imo

I'll give a roughness rating:

1. Materhorn - 20 out of 10 - super rough!
2. Incredicoaster - 8 out of 10 - pretty rough
3. Goofy's Sky School - 7 out of 10 - can be particularly tough for taller people like me as my knee would get slammed against the car
4. Big Thunder/Space Mountains - 6 out of 10 - certainly rough, but not all that bad. BTTMR is smoother than at WDW due to more recent track replacement (though the WDW version is getting that now).
5. Indiana Jones - 5 out of 10 - it's rough in a different way as it slams you around, but the motion is relatively smooth and less jerky than coasters

Wildcard: Star Tours - ? out of 10 - this depends on where you sit. If you are directly above the axis of motion you won't feel it as much, but if you are on the edges, it will be worse. The back row corners are the worst possible spot (note that the axis is not in the center of the seating due to the front area with C-3PO and the screen - you want to be in like row 2 center for the easiest ride).

Extra note: A few of the Fantasyland rides will give you a pretty strong jerk when they come to a stop at the end. It's just a hard break, but it can be jarring if you aren't ready for it. I can't really remember specifically which ones, but they are all pretty old, so, you know.

We have been to Disneyland 7 times in the last 13 years. We always purchase the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyland" book (Seth Kubersky) which is published each year with the latest information. There is an entire section that evaluates and rates every ride for how rough or scary it is. I highly recommend.
