We will be going in Nov./Dec. and my two youngest girls love the princesses. So I'm trying to figure out if we decide not to do a meal at Ariel's Grotto is there places between the two parks were you can find the princesses to have pictures and autograph's with them?
Thanks for your help in advance:thumbsup2

The Princess Fantasy Fair has a meet n greet in Fantasyland across for the Railroad.

Thank you, I knew they had to have something like this but I just wanted to make sure. My girls would be heart broken if they didn't get to meet their princesses:lovestruc They met them in DW 3 years ago but they were 3 1/2 and 1. So they don't remember it so well, except for the pictures.

We did the princess fantasy fair in february, and my daughter loved it. We went late afternoon and stood in line for what felt like forever, but it was totally worth it. My daughter got her picture taken with Cinderella, Jasmine, and SnowWhite. The look on my 2 yr old DD's face was priceless. I'd try going first thing in the morning to cut down on wait time, and take her princess dress if she has one, I noticed most of the girls were wearing them, I'll be sure to take her dress next time.

We took my nieces here in May and it was wonderful princess:

We saw a line for it, asked what it was, and all of the families were waiting for it to open. I'm glad we stumbled upon it so early ...our wait wasn't too long...We saw Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella...

I love how on photopass you can add princess-specific borders :cheer2:

We have seen them out front before, right after you enter the turnstiles, right in front of the big Mickey floral. I have heard several people say they have seen them there at right around 3 PM. We just happened to be entering DL around that time one day and saw them. Not sure if it's just when the park is busy or only on the weekends (we saw them on a Sunday). It was Snow White, Belle, Cinderella and Aurora.

We went straight to Princess Faire right when the park opened one morning to get in line. I think it opened 1/2 hour later but it was nice to get it out of the way for the day and my daughter loved seeing the princesses!

I think going to Ariel's Grotto is a fun and easy way to see many princesses without waiting in what could be a very long line. We saw Ariel plus four other princesses at Ariel's Grotto.

It's worth knowing that if they need to meet specific princesses instead of princesses, the PFF may not be what you're looking for. The princesses rotate out every twenty minutes or so and you cannot guarantee that the ones you want to see will be there when your turn comes. There will always be princesses (and sometimes heroines not of royal birth or marriage) there, but you cannot guarantee who you'll see.

Sometimes, the princesses can be found out in front of the Mickey floral around 3:00pm but I don't know if this is still the case since there's no parade right now and the street party doesn't feature princesses.

I agree with this. It was nice to sit down and eat a nice meal with my daughter and have them come to our table. It was really fun and by the time our lunch reservations came around, we had been in the park since 7 am and were ready for a break. We loved it.

Every time I was back around the PFF, the line seemed really, really long. I was worried that we would get up to the front of the line and the princesses would change out and we wouldn't get to see who we were expecting. I wasn't sure how my 3 year old would react to that, so we went with Ariel's Grotto. That, plus I'm lazy and would rather sit and eat and have them come to us. :goodvibes

I agree too! We did Ariels and it was my favorite character meal that we did. Not only do the Princesses come to you but so does the food! All the others were buffet and I never got to eat since I was the one taking all the pictures, LOL!

Every time we went in to look at the line at PFF because DD4 was seriously hoping to meet Mulan, not only was Mulan not there when we asked but the line looked to be about 90 minutes long. I was SO glad to be able to appease her with the fact that we had already met the Princesses inside at Ariels!

If you really want to do it, get there early...we did manage to meet the fairies right at opening with minimal wait one day. The line was at 60 min plus for them most of the time too. (a week ago)

Our favorite way to see the Princesses is to eat at Ariel's Grotto. We normally see Ariel (of course, since it's her Grotto), Cinderella (DD9s fave), Belle (DD13s fave), Aurora (my fave) and Jasmine (DBFs fave) but we've also seen Mulan & Pocahontas which was a neat thing for us. The food there is GREAT, the Princesses are GREAT and it's a fun thing all around. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Grotto and it's all very very good!

I thought that they were closing the Princess Fantasy Faire? We are going next week and I think that we just missed it. I'm not sure if they are planning to re-open it. Can anyone confirm whether or not this will still be open next week?

You may have read about the closing of the song and dance show they used to have where a random princess (you never knew which princess was coming) would come out and read her story. Then a few mintues later, she would invite two of her other random princess friends out and they would all dance with some of the children in the audience (it was usually around a maypole type thing, as opposed to a waltz). This was all done on the stage of the Fantasyland Theater across from Small World. Unless you were a little child (or a parent trying to videotape your child dancing with a princess) it really wasn't all that special.

I've seen far more special character moments at meet and greets and the meet and greet opportunity is still there. Guests should take note that you have no way of knowing who you're going to see. It is completely luck of the draw. I once overheard a family say that they were in line for the PFF for the 4th time hoping to see Cinderella.

I think you have a better chance of seeing most or all the princesses through a character meal at Ariel's than through standing in line for the PFF. At the very least, you'll be sitting down enjoying your meal while the princesses come to you as opposed to standing in lines that were 90-120 minutes long on an afternoon when the park was not very crowded(unless everyone was in the PFF line).

I have two DS (9 and 5), so we normally don't eat at Ariel's. However, last trip we had 20 year-old niece on a 1st visit (gasp!!!) Took her to the Fairy Godmother Castle Makeover -- That was worth every penny!!! DS5 had to be convinced to walk in -- he was afraid the fairy godmothers in training were going to attack him! DSes were in shock watching the process. Niece beamed & glowed the whole time! Had lunch w/ Ariel the next day -- Niece made sure the hair & crown stayed in place for day # 2 w/ glitter! princess: The food was amazingly good. We did stop in Pixie Hollow early that am. The pixie were convinced that DS9 was Peter Pan (his name is Peter) which further confused the already suspicious DS5. So, by the time we got to Ariel's, he absolutely refused to have any photos taken with any Princesses. He was OK w/ the Page. Anyway -- the food was great -- we just might do it again even though we've got boys. I had the tri-tip.....they bring out a appetizer platter to share. Everyone orders their own entree and then there is a shared dessert tray. Really, really good food! Ooooh -- the mashed potates were good too! Now I've got to go back!

I am going solo and have been to WDW solo many times, I've never done a character meal but I must meet Ariel

Then your best bet is to eat at her Grotto. Unless you want to stand in line at PFF and hope she's there when you get there, but they do rotate them out regularly and if you miss her you're outta luck. You have to eat at the Grotto to meet her, you can't just do photos and then leave.

The only guaranteed way to see Ariel is the character meal at the Grotto. In fact, she's the only princess that a guest can guarantee that they see at the DLR. If you don't want to spend the money, then you have to take your chances with the PFF. You could spend hours and hours in line there and never see the one character you want to.

I've done 3 character meals solo and never had a problem. CMs and/or other diners are more than happy to take a picture for you.
