Is there a parade at Epcot?

I was talking to a friend last night about my family's upcoming trip to Disney. I was telling her that we were wanting to get the fireworks shows and parades that we had seen in the parks during our last two trips. We've seen both parades and the fireworks show at MK. We've seen Illuminations at Epcot. I was telling my friend that I had hoped to see the parade at Epcot. She told me there wasn't a parade at Epcot. I was like :confused3 I was pretty sure that Epcot had a parade, maybe around parts of World Showcase. I have checked a couple of reliable sites and I can't find anything about a parade at Epcot.

So if there ISN'T a parade at Epcot now, has there ever BEEN a parade?

there is no longer a parade at epcot, there did used to be one but it stopped a few years ago

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new parade at Epcot for its 25th anniversary, next year.

The parade at EPCOT went bye-bye a couple of years ago. It was fun....but a logistic nightmare for them to run. Pretty expensive too consider all the cast members it took to produce it. (They used to have 3 legs of it)

MK has the 3pm parade daily as well as the evening parade
AK has a 4pm parade
MGM has the disney stars and motor cars parade...5pm currently.

Epcot's parade was one of the best among all of the parks. I really enjoyed it and was very sorry to see it ago. It was called Tapistry Of Nations and I also understand that it was a logistics nightmare for Epcot.

Here is a link to a couple of pictures from the parade:

Enjoy!!!!

I KNEW IT! Was it around 2003 when Epcot had a parade? We were there in July 2003.

I knew about the other parades at the other parks.

Parade started in Oct 1999 for the Millenium Celebration and ran in various forms until the end of 2003 (I think). It originally was called Tapestry of Nations and ran around pretty much the entire World Showcase (3 different legs, all at once). As time went on, the parade morphed into Tapestry of Dreams and it was cut back to 2 legs (and then finally one, I think). It was an awesome parade, but is no longer. I would love to see them bring it back!

That was my favorite parade, and I was sad to hear it was no longer being run. I have my millennium celebration CD that has the music from the parade that I love to listen to so that at least keeps it fresh in my mind.

We, too, enjoyed the old Tapestry of Nations parade.
The interaction with the crowd was wonderful, with the "puppets" (not sure how else to describe them) reaching out to the crowds.
My boys just loved the big drum floats!
We still affectionately refer to it as the "Hey Na" parade, since that music just gets stuck in your head.
We'd love to see another Epcot parade, although I remember it was kind of a traffic mess.
Enjoy!

will be nice to see a new parade for Epcot, DW and I have always enjoyed the ToN parade, and I know there were many mixed feelings about that parade, but we really enjoyed it.

Thanks for the great photos Sunking! Had no idea EPCOT ever had a parade. Wouldn't you just know, it looks like the only daytime parade I might have bothered with.

I could really get into a nighttime/electrical parade with an international theme. That sounds like an awesome way for Disney to mark EPCOT's anniversary to me! :Pinkbounc

I loved the Tapestry of Nations parade! I hope they bring it back! - or start a new parade in Epcot!

Personnaly, I love Disney Parades with CHARACTERS in them so the Tapestry of Nations parade didn't do it for me. :rolleyes1 Just like that first parade they had at AK when it first opened, no Disney characters. The current AK parade is awesome though :Pinkbounc

I didn't like the Tapestry parade at all and was glad to see it go. Plus, they did the parade a couple of times a day, and it was difficult to walk around if you didn't want to watch it.
