Well, what a roller coaster today has been!! Logged on and saw the new discounts. Glad to see them, for sure, but a little bummed that the Poly is only 25% Go online, figure out what the price should be, then I call in. Get a super nice guy, very helpful, who tells me my total is $4530!!! Almost $2000 less than my original price, and about $900 below what I thought. He confirmed everything with me, so I figured I got some pixie dust, maybe a PIN. Super happy!! Get the email confirm and my suspicions rise - don't see the DDP on there anymore. Run the numbers online again - and sure enough, that's the exact discount price withOUT the DDP> Call in again. CM assures me that DDP is still on there (yay!), but then says, oh wait, maybe not We end up getting disconnected, he was having some trouble. Call in AGAIN. Get another CM who confirms - no DDP. Adds it back in and quotes me the exact price I had seen online this AM - $5384.42. Still much better than the $6405 I had originally, but boy what a DAY!!!

Still hoping for a better Poly discount! Any thoughts on why the POly and AKL are diff. from the other Deluxes? 35% would be much better. Right now we're paying over $1000 more than our previous 2 trips (2007 and 2009 - which were almost the same, with an extra night and child in 2009 - love that 4/3 ) Hard pill to swallow. Might have to look at other resorts.

As of now we are booked at the POP from March 12th to the 19th. With the new GP discount in a preferred room (I think)...waiting for the email confirmation...total price is 850.00. I would love to stay in one of those fancy hotels but just cannot justify the cost. I would so rather have the extra money to spend in the parks. We were fortunate enough to stay in the AKL not long after it opened for $99 a night. My husband was in the travel industry at the time. So we will be at the POP...love it....and save 200 dollars with the new GP!!!

OK This resort changer just changed to POFQ-King Room for DH's 66th Birthday and ESPN The Weekend using the AP rate 35% discount.
We wanted a standard room, but only King was available.
We were originally at ASSports with the AP 32% discount.
Our dates are 3/3 to 3/7/2011.
Was able to grab a pretty good spring break airfare on Continental of $185.40 per person from Newark, NJ.

Ran some numbers...cheaper to stay at the Grand Floridian! Not by much, but still, what the heck? We have no desire to stay at the GF, we love the Poly and I don't want to switch. Fingers crossed for a PIN (never gotten one!) that could increase our discount from 25% to 35 or 40%!

stays most Sunday to Thursday nights February 17, February 22 – 26, 2011 and March 11 to April 16, 2011, when you book by December 31, 2010. POR would be 25% off if you book by 12/31, 20% off if you book it 1/1 -2/13

Subscribing to this thread; we just changed our 2011 trip from end of May/ first of June to March 24th thru 31st. Staying at POFQ; wife, me and a granddaughter who will be 11 then.

We used the room-only discount and saved 25% - came to a $400.00 savings. It would be nice to have a bigger discount or a pin or something but 25% isn't too bad.

The thing that surprised me was that there were still rooms available with that discount at French Quarter. We decided to shift our dates after that savings had been out for well over a week; didn't really expect any discounted rooms to be still available. It was a nice surprise.

And the wait begins.

You sound like us. We were pretty much set to go in Dec of this year. DH was wishy washy, but basically said yes, but he had his hip replaced in )( and it has been nothing but problems, and then on our pay off date, he had a Dr's appointment to get it looked at one more time (been going all summer and they said nothings wrong) and of course they decided to redo it....2 days before the scheduled trip. So we are aiming for March now. Not as exciting as going for Christmas decorations, but still I will take anything!!!
