Is there a haunted cheat?

I was just in a game where one player on the other team kept asking the other, "How do I get ppl in?" I did not understand the question or the explanation, but just as soon as the explainer said "There you go" (meaning the other person had understood whatever they were telling them to key in), a whole bunch of ghosts came out.

I am wondering if a cheat is going on, because a couple of days ago I played this other, "expert" team and saw more ghosts coming out than I ever have in the whole history of the time I've been playing the haunted game. There were only the three of us and there were more ghosts than when 8 ppl are playing. It seemed rather suspicious to me.

The only Trick I know to making more ghosts appear is to rattle the coffins. The more you shake the coffins, the more ghosts that come out

How do you rattle the coffins, just by standing near them?

As far as what else was going on, they were having a conversation where the answer was a string of words that really didn't make any sense to me (the question didn't make much sense either), so I couldn't really tell what information was being imparted, and yet the one seemed to tell the other to do something and immediately after that there were way more ghosts -- and it wasn't at just one of the coffins; they came out all over.

Well, I guess it will have to remain a mystery.

Yeah I know what you mean. When I was playing the other day, it seems more of the other color was coming out than my color. I don't know why and after three games that way, I just went back to playing pirates....

No Hack and totally random when shaking the coffins.

Basically rattling the coffins will bring out ghosts.....as far as which color comes out depends on how many of each color are on the screen. For example if there are 20 green ghosts roaming around because the green team is not vacuuming then up, then odds are that pink ghosts will come out to even things up. Believe me when I say if there was a hack or cheat on Haunted you would have seen plenty of posts on this topic already. Also since I know plenty of people who play haunted almost religiously, none of them have seen anything out of the ordinary.

My advice is if you don't have ghosts for your color on the screen, then rattle them out rather than sitting and waiting.

The only cheat I know of will not help you win the game but it will help you get more points per game. You actually have to have someone that knows what they are doing on each team for a really big score. And certain rooms coming up helps also.

The only thing I have notice is the ghosts seem to have a longer reach and are a little more aggressive. This usually shows in the updated screens. Which I personall do not like. It is harder to get more ghosts when you have 6 coffins altogether.

wait do you remember the ppl you were playing with because i also saw this but for like a few moments my colors stoped coming out and the other color was coming out of every coffin i beleive it is something or there is something going ( scripting maybe ????? ) this makes me really jumpy because if it isn't a cheat i would wonder if anyone else would use it maybe these expert teams ( some ) are using it

And to add to what NotAZoo said, some of us have it down to somewhat of a science and try to keep ourselfs entertained we often have half a conversation in a game that would not make sense to anyone but us and often are having another half the conversation in IM. When you play for hours and days these things just string together - alot of inside jokes and such that and we will ofter check words against the dictionary while playing to see and that is really random. I see people like this in pirates as well. Some people its all they can do to catch or shoot others of us are trying to amuse ourselfs while playing. At any rate there is no cheat just shake the coffins like there is no tommorow and catch everything you can.

My favorite map is the room with the single row of lots of coffins on the bottom floor. It might be 6 of them. Usually, I can get far more credits with that room than I can on any other, especially if the other team plays it like I do. Unfortunately, it doesn't come up as often as the others. You have to not be afraid of changing color, keep shaking the coffins continuosly while you are a ghost, and move to the best location to catch as many ghosts as possible right before you return to your own color. Also, this is the only screen that I don't mind the other team catching me because there are so many ghosts to catch. If both sides are catching each other quickly, you can rack up a lot of credits. I know that I've had over 50 ghosts in that particular round. However, you won't get credits for all of them, but it does go towards the daily, weekly, or all-time high scores.

So, how do you rattle the coffins!!!????

You shake the coffin the same way you vacuum up the ghosts. I like the
control key rather than the shift key, but once you're in front of a coffin
and hit your key....you'll be shaking them up in no time.

I find that if I turn into a ghost, I start shaking coffins like mad to get more
ghosts.

I play the same way, if you are the wrong color start shaking like crazy, don't sit around waiting. And there are times I will intentionally change color bc the other team is not catching their ghosts so instead of running away from them all the time I don't care if they catch me and I start letting out a bajillion. REALLY helps your score if you let out ghosts. (It also helps if you are a decent player and are also playing against a decent player, too. )

As far as a cheat, I haven't seen any in the over a year that I've been playing. There are some unfair games, but that seems to be vmk bc it often goes both ways. The ghosts seem to come in waves of each color. The best maps are the ones with lots of coffins all together
