why ToyStory in Disneyland doesn't have a fast pass system? Is there a valid reason.... it is one of my favorites in DHS

I would agree with this.

You may of heard that, though I have solid doubts.

Ariel does not have any indications it is being built with FP.

Not everything that works at WDW works at DLR. They are different Parks, they have different guests, and they operate differently.

Fastpass can make some lines better, but it can also make some lines worse. There are people whose job is to study these patterns and understand how they work. A FP for TSMM at DCA would not necessarily make it better. Long at how INCREDIBLY long the queue is at WDW.

I've also heard that you need a lot more queing area to do FP and there wasn't enough room to do that. I have no idea if that's true or not but thought I would throw that into the conversation.

I read no FP for Ariel since since it's considered a "fast moving line" ride like buzz and haunted mansion!

I am addicted to Fastpasses, but I agree that Fastpass doesn't seem to help TSMM at WDW.

We got in line once right before park closing, and the line barely moved until after the park closed. The difference after they stopped taking Fastpasses was remarkable.

The problem is that it is already too crowded, having people waiting in line keeps things organized, if they had FPs, they would be milling around the park, which has been quite crowded since World of Color opened and with more and more construction walls going up would just add to the problem.

Honestly, while at first I was frustrated by the lack of FP, now I'm just as glad that they don't have it.

When we were at WDW last spring, if you didn't have a FP in hand by 10:30 in the morning, you were looking at a 90-120 minute standby time for TSMM.

Meanwhile, at DCA the line for TSMM is pretty consistently set at 30-40 minutes. I would much rather stand in line with everyone else than have to plan my entire day around getting a FP in order to ride TSMM.

It has become a game to me. Last trip I watched our return time like a hawk.

Even at Christmas time we had a 45 minute wait at most. Not that bad considering I heard of Nemo being 120 minutes.

It is rare that I read something truly new (unless I am reading Al Lutz ). But this is. It takes time of course to install FP machines and train CMs. LM may open this spring so we are talking 2 months possibly. Do tell on TSMM FP...

I think for the new rides (Ariel, some cars land stuff, new star tours) they all need FP for the first few months. Same way Haunted Mansion only has FP machines during the holiday overlay. Because after times goes on, many of those rides probably won't need FP (example: Rodger Rabbit & sometimes BLAB)
I think this would be a very smart thing to do!

exactly... my whole was around TSMM fastpass plan/rope drop/ect....

Buzz and Haunted Mansion (durring the holidays) have FP's tho... just sayin..
