is there a free dining watch thread for fall?

It will be rumored on here what day free dining will be announced and the rumors usually include dates that the free dining will be offered. Example-the people in the "know" will say free dining is coming out this Monday and the dates will be ________. Then people will stay up all of Sunday night waiting for it to show up on the Disney website and book their package when it shows up. I remember last year, the date the free dining booking took place was correct but some of the rumored dates were wrong.

Yup this!!! The tip off even included the fact that a park hopper would be required, which was right. So just stay tuned here, and you should hear something a few days in advance. I think we're still way too early, I think April is the earliest we've seen it. But you never know.....

It seems like the last time I did this, it was about 2 months prior to my trip, and I was getting really anxious about holding off on reservations waiting for a deal - but again, there had been rumors about when the discounts would be revealed, so I was able to make myself be patient and wait for the deal - which did arrive.

They announced the free dining and room discount for August- December all at once on April 27 last year. I believe they did the year before too. I'm waiting it out as well! I am proud to be one of the crazy ones that stalks these boards 2 weeks before it releases just making sure I don't miss it. Last year I stayed up all night to get free dinning the day it was rumored to come out, but it was totally worth it. It was for my husband and I's honeymoon trip for 10 days. This year we are going to try and celebrate our 1 year anniversary by going September 13-21. I would LOVE free dinning, and really cant imagine a trip without it (my family has used free dinning for years). I will be super bummed if it doesn't come out. My husband and I are in ministry so we don't make a ton of money, and free dinning sure helps out a lot! My fingers are crossed for this year! Anxiously awaiting!

Your dates are almost the same as mine; we're Sept 13-24 I'm up for an all-night wait, although I guess I'll be cheating since your all night is my all day FD for a family of five sure will make a difference

I need a little help. I already have a booking for oct into nov. for Port Orleans no discount for room and passes. If I stay up all night, I am going to go online to do this change. Do I make a brand new reservation or is there some way for me to modify my reservation. Is this an easy thing to do for people not good on the internet.

Last year I was able to modify ours online. There was a modify reservation button and I clicked on that and it showed availability of discounts. The room we were in had room available so I was able to just click on the discount and add it to our reservation with no problem

I have heard from other threads that if you don't have AP or anything like that, just a regular "joe" you will have to call in to change your reservation...which might be time consuming depending on how tied up the lines could get. I always wait to book FD when the dates are released because the promo is to fill the rooms at select resorts.

I had to book by July 11 last summer for our Oct trip. I booked LITERALLY on July 9 without a problem ( and this promo was released in late April last year). But I was also flexible on the dates but already knew I wanted a value.

But now I know what I am looking for date wise and want to be able to pull an all-nighter to get what I want. But hey if I have to change my plans around so be it.

Last year Port Orleans Riverside was excluded from FD for that time frame.You will likely need to change resorts. You might be better off making a new ressie with FD online and then cancel your current one later when the phone lines are not as hectic

Following! Looking to book Sept 13-20 free dining, but we are totally flexible. Likely POP, although if I can convince the rest of our group I'd like to do POR if it's included. We will hit the 180 day mark March 17 so starting to get anxious! We've purchased the dining plan before and liked it, but got free dining in 2014 and now we're hooked! Waiting anxiously over the next few months with all y'all!
