Hi,

My wife and two boys, ages 4 and 6, and I will alll be going to WDW for the first time ever later this year, staying in a 2br at Old Key West. As we have never been there before, I am wondering if there is a Disney Consultant who could help plan our 7 day itinerary, make Breakfast Chacter reservations, name some great rides for our kids, recommend a romantic dinner spot for my wife and I, etc. Someone who I could talk to over the phone to discuss our likes and dislikes, and then hire this "Disney Consultant" to recomend our activities. Any help, thoughts, and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

you can hire me...lol...or one of the many disney experts on this board...seriously, making the priority seatings really isn't that hard and we all consider it fun...sick bunch aren't we...but a lot of your questions can be answered right here on these boards...I think Dreams Unlimited has a service that will help you make your priority seatings, I'm not sure...if you really need some help or advice, just email me, or pm me your questions and I will do what I can to help...

Yes, for many here, it's just so much fun to talk Disney, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who wouldn't even charge to answer questions and make recommendations about WDW.

I'd be glad to help you! You can email or PM me if you'd like! I can never get enough of Disney planning!

Well you are in the right place for disney experts!

There are many here willing and able to help, for free!

But I do seem to remember people talking about a guy who would do an itenarary for a fee, his website was circulating for a while. I cant remember though, maybe some one else will!!!

Try the tourguidemike.com website. For self planning you enter your ages, likes, dislikes etc. and they make recommendations. Even more of what your looking for you can hire a personal tour guide if you like and I think they set everything up (rather expensive) but if that's what you are looking for it's available. Another good place to start if you want to become an obsessive planner like the rest of us is a good guidebook. My favourite is the Unoffical Guide to Walt Disney World. The first year we went that's all I used (didn't know about this board at that time) and it was a wonderful help. Ask these dis people as many questions as you like though. Everyone loves to help.

That is the one I was thinking of!
Thanks barb45!

I also recommend tourguidemike.com. But I also agree that you can get many of your questions answered here. I understand if you don't want to make the calls yourself. I'm not sure if a travel agent can handle that for you? Otherwise, we're all at your service!

Believe it or not, some people have offered (and paid) me for my services. I ALWAYS tell them to visit the DISboards to find the info themselves. Most of them admit that they're too lazy to do any kind of research so they paid me regardless.

Oh well, more money for me.

Don't hire me though, all info I have I obtained (mostly) from this board and several other sources and books.

hmmm come to think about it, they got their money's worth.

For me, planning is most of the fun!:D
I am sure you will get more help than you ever wanted. This is a great place, but a word of caution: I'd remove my phone number from my siggy if were you!

Have fun, and enjoy your trip! ::yes::

How into planning this trip are you? Do you want to be hands on or do you just want someone to do it for you?

The best advice that I can give you besides keep coming to these boards is to get the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" That will give you a start.

There is so much information flowing on these boards that it can be a tad bit overwhelming to first timers. I think that if you were to start with a book and go through it, you will get a more organized perspective of WDW is all about and what you want to plan.

Be wise and like the previous poster said REMOVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IMMEDIATELY

Good Luck! We are all here for you and your questions will be answered.

FatCow......??? :confused3
Your count down clock has me baffled!! :confused3
for some reasons I don`t feel too enthused this time around
What's up???

Steven.....get rid of that phone #.....internet rule #1.....no phone numbers posted.

Otherwise....just keep reading these boards and save yourself a few $$ and do it yourself! :teeth: You will realize how much FUN it is to plan your trip.....get the family involved!! even more fun!

I have 2 boys age 4 and 6. We were last at Disney in December, but we have made several trips to Orlando. If you have any questions you can feel free to PM me. Tourguide Mike sounds like what you might be looking for. I doubt if travel agents are going to offer this service if you have not booked through them. The only other thing I can suggest is switching your reservation to concierge at another resort. I can understand wanting the two room condo, though. Does OKW offer a concierge service. You (in most other hotels) can use these services even if you are not concierge level. That usually just gives access to the lounge.

Thanks for all the great advice about having fun planning my itinerary, and about my phone number! I will probably try tourguidemike.com and then just keep searching all the valuable messages here for more answers.

Thanks again,
Steve

Depending upon how much money you're willing to spend, Michael, the founder of the tourguideMike site, does offer the exact type of service you're looking for. It's called Michael's VIPs and they do all of the planning, customized itineraries based upon what your family will like, and a personal tour guide is provided to show you around the parks, get your FastPasses for you, save parade seats, etc. It isn't inexpensive though.

If you're willing to do some of the "work" yourself, I thing the tourguideMike site is the way to go, along with the DISboards, and the Unofficial Guide if you want to pick one up. It all depends upon whether or not you want to be involved in the planning. Most of here think it's almost as much fun as the vacation itself! :teeth:

Steven -

I sent you a private message. I am an event planner by profession and have begun planning unique Disney experiences for families and groups. Please feel free to email or PM me if I can help.

Sandy

I am the "unofficial" Disney trip planner at the hospital where I work. I have helped planned numerous trips for people at work. Having been to Disney well over 100 times its what I love to do so any questions feel free to PM me.

I know you have already booked at OKW, but if you change your ressie to stay Concierge at one of the Deluxe hotels they will be able to help you out with the Priority seatings and help make recomendations for you. This is what is said about concierge on All Ears, "When you book concierge, you will be assigned a member of the concierge staff to assist in your vacation planning. The concierge can make priority seatings, obtain tickets for dinner shows and answer your vacation questions." Here is the link if you would like to read more about it
http://allearsnet.com/acc/concierge.htm

Hope that Helps :D
