Is there a difference between Betula and Birkenstock sandals?

Is there a difference between Betula and Birkenstock sandals as far as quality goes? I found a site that had the Betulas on sale for pretty cheap for the styles I like and was curious as to whether they hold up as well as regular Birks......

We've had both with no problems. Betula is a spinoff of birkenstock owned by the same company i believe. If you've ever been to one of their stores they are all mixed in together. Almost like they are a style name. HTH

Betula is usually constructed out of man made materials and Birks are usually leather straps. At the outlets they are all mixed together, Betula can often be purchased at Payless. Though both manufactured from the same Co. Betula is the more budget line of two.

My Betula's are leather

I paid $40 for them at Sam's Club almost 3 years ago. They're holding up really well! As well as my 8 year old Birks.
