Generally when it's time to pay-up for yearly maintenance, that usually cools my jets for wanting more points.

Yeah, that yearly bill will cure anyone's addonitis.

Add-on-itis is like a bad rash that keeps coming back no matter how much salve you put on it.

Several days after mailing the closing documents for our recent BCV resale purchase, I started thinking, "maybe I should have found a contract with a few more points on it."

I believe add-on-itis may also be officially categorized as a "social disease." The more I chat about Disney, the worse it appears to get.

The economy and all the rule changes at DVC in the last year have my addonitis in full remission (for now).

A couple of weeks ago I saw a resale for the use year I want and for the 50 additional points I think I need. Of course that was the week I woke up one morning to a 50 degree house and decided to buy a new furnace & A/C that very day! It might only be a temporary cure, but I didn't think twice about passing.

While I don't recommend it, a major unexpected repair bill might do the trick for you!
