I love my coffee and was just wondering do they also serve cappucinnos and lattes??? Where do we get these other than during meals in the dining rooms.

Waiting for my first cup... :(

Feeling pretty good after one... :D

after about that third cup... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Other than the places you mentioned there are no specialty coffees available. We did not know about the dinning rooms until the last night of our cruise last year. I just happened to mention to our server how nice it would be to have a Cappucinno with dessert. No Problem he said and delivered it in just a few moments. Wish I had known earlier.
The coffee at the beverage station and at Topsider/Beach Blanket are OK, not great. I like mine strong and dark and it just doesn' come that way. I survived for seven days. May I suggest you look at some of the Folger instant packs. Some of the flavored are quite good compared to what other options you will have.
Have a great cruise.

PS
The iced tea is terrible too.

Coffee and coffee drinks are available in the bars, which I believe open about 9 am. Some of us plan on taking small coffee makers for the fun of it. We really enjoy very strong, very dark coffee in the early morning. Since that's the main reason we're opting for the veranda, I'm bringing an immersion heater to be sure the hot water (availlable from room service and the beverage station) is REALLY hot and some dark roast coffee. The coffee at Palo's is said to be much better, also.

I like mine strong and dark and it just doesn' come that way.
Try adding a little instant espresso to bland the coffee. Unlike instant coffee, it's almost as good as the real thing.

Notes from a PacNW coffee snob (drinking my fresh ground french roast with spring water as I type).

The espresso in the regular resturants is out of those square machines and you cannot get nonfat milk etc. I was excited to find a REAL espresso machine in Palo's. When I asked if they had a REAL espresso machine up there the reply was "Madam, this IS an Itallian resturant, I'll make your coffee myself", and I recieved a double nonfat latte in no time flat. The sound of the steamer was music to my ears. They said if Palo is open you could just walk in and sit at the counter and order espresso, no reservations or anything. You can pick up a dessert that way too.

Being a caffine addict, I did drink my share of the ships regular coffee. It was terrible. Next time I will bring my little coffee pot.

I got my Cafe Mocha's at the Promonade Lounge every morning.

Knowing that the specialty (coffee) drinks are there... I will be asking for them!!!

Good to know.

This is fabulous info to have - it is going into my notebook even as I type this. Ok, since I don't have 4 hands as soon as I finish typing.:)

I also appreciate the "Good Coffee" info.

I'm wondering too about the coffee price...

I would almost bet that the specialty coffees would be extra... but what about a simple cup of joe???

Anyone???

Yep, you have to pay for espresso. Don't quote me, but I'm thinking it was about $2.50 or $2.75 or something.

DH and I are REAL coffee lovers too. The Latte at Palo was great. There is a snack bar near the Theater that serves cappucino...it is machine type and we thought it was horrible. You can get free coffee with your meals...we had a couple cups every night with dessert and it was pretty good to us. We never ordered cappucinos in the dining rooms or at the bars.

Is the iced tea fresh brewed or some type of mix? If I don't like it, I'll just make my own.

I always find it ridiculously stupid when a waitress says that they don't have any iced tea! I then just order a cup of hot tea and a glass of water! LOL It's the best kind of iced tea!!!

They now charge for the cappuccinos, etc. in the dining rooms. Back in Nov of 2000 they were not charging at that time. I believe it was around $3 with tip.

The iced tea is that syrupy/mix kind that they dilute down with water...it is not the brewed kind. We love iced tea and the tea onboard is bad. They have all sorts of tea bags at the beverage stand near they pools...we took our own big cups and made our own iced tea a bunch during the days because we don't drink sodas, so the refillable mugs was not worth it to us (you can find great insulated cups at Walmart/Target). You can certainly ask for the hot tea at dinner and ice it yourself...or just grab a bunch of tea bags at the beverage station and take them with you to dinner.
