Is there a clear answer on using Target GC to buy Disney GC?

Through my health insurance, they have a wellness program where by completing certain tasks and visiting certain doctors, you can earn wellness dollars which can then be used to purchase gift cards. I had a good amount in my "bank" to purchase Disney Gift Cards, but now Disney GC are no longer an option. Target is on there so if I purchase those, I'd want to turn them into Disney GC. I haven't been able to find a definite answer and a friend of mine has been told NO both times at our local Target. Thanks!

Do you have another Target in your area that you can try? Technically Target’s POS system allows it but some individual stores won’t (or the cashier assumes it’s not allowed and won’t try). If you can use self-checkout, that’s easier since the system should allow it. I would cash out for a $25 Target card and give it a try to buy a $25 Disney card. Worst case scenario you have to spend $25 at Target.

I used target gift cards to buy disney gift cards the other day. I used self checkout.

It can be store dependent but I haven’t heard of anyone yet who hasn’t been able to find at least one store near them who will do it. I bought a $100 Disney gift card last night using using 7 different Target gift cards. The cashier was new and messed up the transaction so she had to call over two other cashiers to help. They explained to her how to do it and didn’t say anything about me using gift cards. I will say it can be a little more of a hassle now that they have to put in access numbers for every single gift card, including the $5 ones which I get from Bing Rewards every two weeks!

Seems to be on a Target by Target basis. The one closest to my house: you can't buy gift cards with gift cards, period. The one closest to my work: you can buy gift cards with gift cards. Might be a manager thing, or regional manager, who knows.

I have to travel outside of my district since the district manager has banned the conversion of Target GC to Disney GC. The local stores refuse to ignore their district manager. It is really obnoxious. I can’t even do self-checkout because they police them so much.
