Is there a certain shampoo/conditioner that makes your hair silky?

Suave is where it's at baby! I have used all of their "professional series" product. My favorite is the Suave "Sleek". It comes in a hard to miss bright orange bottle. It's comparable to Matrix. I have used many professional shampoo's for "sleek, smooth hair" and Suave does not lack in performance to the professionals. Plus, you save money!

I second this! I've tried the Matrix version as well. IMO the Suave works way better. I have really thick, naturally curly hair with a mind of its own and this stuff is taming it well.

I had also heard that about switching your hair products around. I use a variety of Aveda products. Hair detoxifier, Curresense, Sap Moss. And their 2 conditioners.

I use "Fresh Curls" by Redken. If your thick hair is also curly, this one works great.
