Is There A Car Rental Agency near DLR?

We are heading to DLR early in April, and wanted to take a day-off from the parks to head into Hollywood and maybe other locations in the area. I've seen the threads about taking other means of transportation there, but was wondering if there is a car rental agency near or at DLR (like WDW) to rent a car for just 1 day? I've looked into renting a car for our entire trip, but it is very costly (and that doesn't include parking fees at VGC)...

Yes there are several. Last September I walked from DLR over to the Avis one on Katella - about 15 minutes - to pick one up. Check your favorite car agency and put in Disneyland or the DL zip code. I think Alamo has one closer to the parks. I am not aware of a complete thread on this. But I think there are at least four rental locations close by (Avis being just one of them).

Alamo is in DTD right around the corner from the bookstore near the theaters.

We rented from the Alamo in DTD and it was great. We literally rented from Sunday at 8:30am until that evening (though we returned it earlier). It was great not having to pay parking fees for the rental car!

The alamo in Downtown Disney were very friendly and affordable. The "customer service" desk at Grand Californian also helped us with Alamo as it was a last minute decision.

In a last minute decision, my family and I decided to try the Alamo, in Downtown Disney! They were so kind and were absolutely terrific with our reservations. When we left, we dropped off the car at the Alamo at LAX. They were so nice and good to us, I would go there again!

we are planning on renting from DTD Alamo for a day trip. Does anyone know if they have an after hours drop off so we don't have to rent for more then one day?

Just a note: if you're staying VGC on points there's no fee for self-parking. Cash is another story.
