Is there a booking window for cash ressies through MS?

We plan to book 4 nights at Vero for next August, 2 on cash and 2 on points. We can't book the points night until the 7 month window in January. Can I book the cash nights now?

I believe the only constraint for booking discounted cash ressies via MS is availability. But be aware that cash reservations from breakage usually only become available 60 days or less in advance of the date you might be looking at, and only then if DVC doesn't think the room will be rented for points.

You might actually be able to find a better deal on cash ressies thru CRO - sometimes they still run specials at Vero Beach.

Personally, if I was really wanting a 4 day trip, I'd book as soon as I could via CRO for the cash days and then book the points at 7 months. Then check back around 60 days and see if anything was available, and if so, whether it is less than the CRO cost.

Usually, MS opens up unreserved points inventory for cash reservations 60 days before.
