In having an 8:05 ressie at CP as opposed to 8:10 or 8:15? I know you are pushed back some with the later seating and may miss getting out by rope drop, but does it make you so much later that you don't want to do it? Doesn't it also give you a few more minutes to mosey down Main Street for those precious uncrowded photos?

We have an 8:05 for 5/29 and I can still get an 8:15 for 5/30 - looking at park hours, DHS will be open until midnight on 5/28 (which my son will want to take advantage of until the very last minute), making that 8:05 look waaaay too early, but would it be a mistake to switch to a day if the earliest time we can get is 8:15?

Thanks for the input! :goodvibes

I don't think 10 minutes will make a huge difference unless you are going at a really crowded time when rides like Dumbo/Peter Pan and other popular attractions would start to get a longer line in that extra 10 minutes. If you think 8:05 will be too early, ditch it and go with the 8:15. I'd rather skip a ride to make up for that 10 minutes than drag everyone out for a breakfast when they're dead tired and cranky.

I would keep the 8:05. Sometimes there is a pretty good delay in seating time, so the earlier you can get in the better. But, that's just me.

You can always do the mid-day break to compensate for the early morning. And there's nothing like Pooh Ears dipped in coffee to get you started in the morning.

When the restaurant first opens in the morning, their first concern is with getting people seated as quickly as possible. The reality is that reservations for 8:05, 8:10, 8:15, even 8:20 are all getting seated as soon as they get to the front of the line at the check-in desk. If you can get an 8:15 on a better day for you, grab that one, arrive early, and you ought to be fine.

Same thing (in reverse) if you keep your 8:05 - don't assume you're going to be seated before those with slightly later reservations - if time is important to you, you want to be there plenty early and get to the desk as quickly as possible.

Caveat - I haven't had an early breakfast reservation at MK for about three years, so it's always possible that what I observed in the past is no longer the case.
