Is there a BBB at DL ?

no. what they do have which may have inspired BBB is a Club Libby Lu at DTD (who not-so-coincidentally had been offering hannah montana makeovers for some time now)

There's a princess makeover at the Princess Fanatsy Fair. IThey sell princess dresses and accessories here and I believe they also do face painting and hairstyles (makeover). Dd and I prefer Club Libby Lu to the princess makeover at the Princess Fantasy Fair. The do hair, makeup and nails here and includes a Libby Lu soft backpack and 5 items from their bargain bins (hair pins, hair ties, lip gloss, etc.) and a tiara. Check out BradK's link if you want to learn more about it. They do take reservations (need to call in) and they are recommended during busy season.

i thought the princess faire had something, but i went to DLR's page to confirm and they don't mention it and i googled 'princess faire makeover' and came up emptyhanded... owell.. thanks for the addition.

i was also going to add that everything i've heard advises to steer clear of the princess faire too.

I'm not so sure I'd stay clear of it but be aware that the princesses rotate regularly and that you might not get to meet the one you had your heart set on. We waited in line for 3 hours to see Cinderella and she walked out about 10 minutes before it was our turn.

But it was our first experience and so we learn with each visit. All in all, everything in combination was a fun morning.

It's not so much a makeover as just face painting and getting your hair done and selling princess dresses and accessories.. My kids only did the face painting. We didn't bother we getting dd's hair done as all they did, i think, was braid. We found Libby Lu to be a better value and much more princess-like.

The Libby Lu hair is MUCH better. It lasted for three days and looked just as good on day three. Plus, I believe it is less expensive. Have fun!

Not to be a "downer" but when I took DD, then 4, to Club Libby Lu, I was disappointed with the results. DD is African American and the Libby Lu employee didn't seem to have any clue how to work with her hair. She ended up basically leaving it as I had styled it and just added a lot of glitter to it (now that DID last 3+ days LOL). The make-up colors also were more geared toward lighter skin tones.

I just wanted to mention this so people are aware there could be issues for girls with very curly or other textures of hair.

Did you contact Libby Lu about this problem?? I think you should if you haven't because this is something they should be taught to work with. as well as having products for all skin colors and types.

I went to beauty school (yup I am a drop out! :rotfl: ) and know how different hair can be depending on your ethniticity. They should be taught styles that can be adjusted to work for all little girls.

Man I wish I could work there and do princess do's all day :)

Thank you ! I'll have to look into Libby Lu. We have 2 little girls going with us and are meeting 2 more so they might all enjoy it.

Both of my daughters hated their Libby Lu makeovers because the girl did their updo's so tight they both begged me to take them out at dinner that night. I took them both to the bathroom at Goofy's Kitchen and had to pull out a zillion rubber bands and pins to get them free, and by the time I was done they were both saying how much their heads hurt from those tight updos.

And I have two very girl girls who often wear their hair up:confused3 It looked painful to me too! I can't see how anyone could sleep in that kind of hairdo.

Plus that store has no air conditioning, and is LOUD, LOUD and VERY LOUD. It is hard to hear yourself think, let alone talk to each other. My daughter who has sensory issues was so overwhelmed there. Think of a tiny, stuffy, hot shop with blasting music so loud you can't stand it--that is Libby Lu.
