Is there a bar at Calif Grille?

We managed to get a 9:20pm reservation on a 9pm fireworks night. Can we head up around 8:45pm and sit at the bar and wait for our table and watch the fireworks?

Yes, if the bar isn't already full. If it's full, you'll need to wait on the second floor with a pager. And the bar isn't that large to start with.

Webray is correct - the bar area is rather small. California Grill began the policy where you have to check in downstairs because they were having problems with overcrowding at fireworks time - and with people walking up to look at the view. It's not a very large restaurant. There is not a lot of room at the bar, and there are not a lot of seats at the lounge. If it's already crowded, they won't allow you up until there is enough room for you at the bar and lounge area, or until they are ready to seat you.

If it's not already too crowded, you may be able to go up and watch the fireworks from the observation deck, but you'd be really lucky to get a seat at the bar or lounge at fireworks time.
