2009 was the Get in free on your birthday
2010 was Give a Day

Are they doing anything for 2011?

Did I miss the announcement?

You can have your families faces plastered on the castle. That's the new thing for 2011 but no ticket deals.

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

I think they will not have a promotion because they are offering Free Dining all year. I think Disney realized that they are not having difficulty getting people in the parks, but getting people into the hotels is another story.

Except for my dates...and unfortunately I can't change my dates to a time that it is offered.

I thought somewhere I read that there was free one day if you ran the marathon.

I see. Is this a stay at the hotel and buy at least a one day pass deal?

Yes, they usually offer it in the fall, but for 2011 it is from January through September. Whether or not it is a deal has been debated many times on these boards.

I wouldn't be surprised if you do see a big celebration towards the end of 2011 for the 40th Anniversary. I doubt it will be a free day or anything, but they will probably have special parades and parties. At least I hope they do something to acknowledge the 40th!

Right the Let the Memories begin Campaign is not for the 40th Anniversary. The 40th Anniversary will not begin until October 2011 and my g uess will run through until Oct 2012

Yeah, for us it has never worked out to be a deal. But if people can use it, great.

But I want a free day too! :lmao: Not that it will stop me from going to Disney mind you! It never has before.

If you register for the marathon ($165 fee) and complete it within the time requirements (pace of 16 minutes per mile, over 26 miles), then you can get into a disney park free the next day (Monday Jan 10)......b/c I'm sure most marathon runners are up and ready for a park day the day after running a marathon ;)

I am holding out hope that something good comes out of the new promotion, I really wanted to see another Give a day scenario, that was the best! :goodvibes

You have to pay them $165 to run the marathon? I'm pretty sure $165 isn't enough for them to pay me to run a marathon.
