paper addiction? Last weekend, my daughter visited and we went to every craft store in the area and at one point she said, "Mom, you're addicted to buying scrapbook stuff". I don't know how much paper I bought last week, but it was on sale at HL for 50% off. This week, it was still on sale, so I went back yesterday to pick up some stickers for my other daughter who' running a mother's day card making group at the B & G club where she works, and I bought more paper. A basic grey pack, the bazzill bling (which I blame on this board), and some patterned paper that I thought was cute. I could go on and on with this confession but the question is:

do others accumulate paper at a much higher rate than you use it?

I think I'll head to my scrap room and play with it now

Guilty as charged! But every few months I "tell" myself that I can't buy any more paper until _______ (random date or random # of pages completed)... and that will usually hold me... until I find a really good sale!

As far as patterned paper goes....I've been actively scrapping for about 10 years.... and over the years I have bought paper that I have "saved" for a project in the future or saved it for "just that special page" and you can guess what happens. Either the paper gets damaged in storing it for so long, or it no longer appeals to me or is hopelessly out of style... or the "event" just doesn't fit the paper the way I thought it would. I have learned to cut way down on buying patterned paper. But I still buy LOADS of cardstock. Especially when it is on sale/clearance. And I have learned to try to quickly use any patterned paper that I buy. ......................P

Ummm, heck yeah! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I've found that I enjoy the shopping for & organizing all this stuff much more than the scrapping. Maybe if I was faster at it - as in actually got a book done ;) - then I might be able to enjoy looking at what I've done, which would encourage me to scrap more often.

Either that or I need someone to stand over me with a big stick!! :lmao: :lmao:

Glad I'm not alone, though I didn't I'd be on this site :goodvibes

I've also been buying more cardstock and less patterned but I still have a lot of patterned paper. Good idea about trying to use up the patterened quickly (but it's so pretty!).

And, I like shopping and organizing my paper too!

Yes, I'm heading down the stairs to my scrap room any moment now!

:wave2: Hi, my name is Ashley and I am addicted to paper.

I am a paper addict as well. I cannot pass up a good sale. I have the organized by color of the rainbow. I can say that I have alot of pattern paper that I am not fond of. I like to us solids when I scrap.

I so need that support group! I have enough paper to scrap into the next millenium but I can't help buying more! And then I never want to use the "best" paper so I told myself that maybe instead of buying 2 sheets of every pattern I like, I should by 4, so when I use it I'll still have some. How's that for logic? :upsidedow

I need this support group, too!! Paper is my favorite thing. . .and NEE, I'm like you. I buy that "special" paper, and then I don't want to use it! :rotfl2:

I just started scrapping in January, and a couple of weeks ago I spent some time getting all my stuff organized. I have a LOT of paper, so I put a moratorium on paper spending for a while. I have enough choices that I should be able to scrap the events on my list without buying anymore paper until our Disney trip in August.

The bigger temptation for me now is equipment. I have my Big Shot and a few dies, but I'd like to try brads and eyelets and I really want a good tool set. I also want more Big Shot dies, but they're just so darned expensive!

I am addicted to patterned paper. Whenever I see it on sale, I have to buy it. I can't help myself!

My daughter is now an enabler. She gave me a Jo-ann's gift card as a combined bd/md card. And the Jo-ann's site is down for maintainance this am. Oh no :confused3

I remember seeing on 2Peas something about how many layouts a 1" stack of paper usually makes. But I can't remember what that number is. But it was one of those numbers you don't want to think about because it would prove that your stash would last until you were 70. :lmao: But it's all so pretty!

I bought more paper when I went to Hobby Lobby, but I stuffed more in the paper box than what I added, so it's :thumbsup2.
