Looked at 2 different days and nothing available. Has anyone ever had success booking after a cancellation? Just looking for a glimmer of hope. Currently, we are booked at Tusker House and The Wave on those nights, but hoping to get into Ohana.....I realize it is during spring break so it may not work out, just have to give it a shot.....checking several times a day.

We are traveling down in a week and in the past two weeks have cancelled a number of reservations that we decided not to use or had been double booked. Those cancellations have included a an O'hana dinner, Le Cellier Lunch, a CRT Lunch (already going 2 other times, 1 breakfast and 1 lunch so decide 3 was overkill) and will be cancelling very shortly V&A on a Friday night (we are going to Hawaii in 7 weeks for 10 days and decided to use the $500 for some nice oceanfront dinners on Kauai.

So yeah...keep checking back because there are always cancellations. Additionally, if you are going in the off-season you can always do walk-up...Many times O'hana will allow walk-ups right at 5 pm when they open.

I was able to get an ADR for 9:30 p.m. for two at Ohana's last August. I knew my bf would not want to eat that late so I kept trying for earlier several times a day. Finally a couple of weeks before the trip an 8 p.m. slot opened up. It does happen (although not always, I was never able to get an ADR for our group of four the second week of November in 2008, which is considered a "slow time", during the whole week we were there).

Package cancellations have to be done no later than 45 days out so I hear that checking diligently about 45 days out from when you want to eat there helps too with people waiting until the last minute to cancel their trip.

I was looking online for WEEKS for an 'Ohana reservation and one finally popped up just DAYS before my trip! I was so shocked! But it DOES happen! Keep checking, good luck! :thumbsup2

I've been looking for one too for January! It seems hopeless but I'm not giving up. I'm determined to celebrate my 30th b-day there before 10:00 :cloud9:

Unfortunately, I think some double-book and/or over-book ressies and never take the time to cancel. It's sad for those trying to get a ressie, but a friend of mine books 3-4 meals each day, knowing she may only use one ressie...never cancels the others. Good luck, doesn't hurt to keep trying! I'm still trying to get ressies for March, booked the wrong day at 190 days out...cancelled other ressie, but can't get the one I want :( It's hard knowing where you'll be 190 days out!

I think Disney now cancels reservations on people who double book.

OP: Keep trying. I canceled a reservation there for my July trip because my family wants to try the Yachtsman. Good luck.

It doesn't hurt to make a second choice reservation and try for 'Ohana the day you are there. We cancelled an 'Ohana reservation last year about 6 hours before because one of the kids wasn't feeling well.

Just last week I wanted to make reservations for April 27 and the best available was at 9:20 pm (way too late for my children). I made reservation for Kona instead. This past Saturday I tried again and was able to get 6:20 pm., so yes it is possible.

definitely possible, i was able to score an ohana dinner and breakfast for february in the past couple of weeks by just checking back online when i think of it. keep trying, you might get lucky!

Yes. I originally got stuck with an 8:15. Maybe a few weeks later a 5:15 opened up. A little closer to our trip i got another Ohana reservations for 4:30 so they do have cancellations. So we did eat there twice and i was so happy I booked two because i really enjoyed our first meal there.
You have to be willing to go on the computer often and check because you just never know.
