Is the Wyndham really that bad?

My wife and I are going for a quick 2 night 3 day trip to Orlando. We plan on spending the first day at the pool and then Downtown Disney. Second day at Magic Kingdom and MGM, and third day at Universal. We have reservations at Hilton and Wyndham, but have been told to stay at Wyndham by many people. I am starting to freak out because everyone make the Wyndham and the Hilton not seem all that nice. We also have a res at Coronado Springs, but my wife fears it is inconvenient for our purposes. I can get into Dolphin, for a lot more money, and just can't justify the price difference. Please advise.

I have stayed at the Wyndham Palace many times & never had any complaints.

Have not been for a couple of years though. But if you are looking for a hotle with a "Disney Atmosphere", this is not the place, except for the fact it is about a 3 minute walk to the Disney Marketplace.,

I stayed in 2002 - just me and my two kids. We had a wonderful stay. We did WDW and Universal and found it to be very convenient. The restaurant was nice, used the transportation once it was nice. The pool was a bit crowded but not a big deal.

AND, for the price it was 5 stars in my book. (we got in for less than $100 per night)

I have stayed at both places several times and would not hesitate to go back for a good price. For too much money I just go to a Disney moderate, but that is just because I like being on Disney.

Universal is much, much easier to get to using Wyndham than any WDW resort. Unless you have your own car.

For the weekend before my May 9 stay at BWV, I have 'bought' a Fairfield Resort package: 3 nights at either Wyndom (the one on I drive near Universal) or Sheraton World. Essentially I get the 3 nights (I'll only use 2 and some tickets and other stuff for $50).

My question is, if I get a choice between the 2 hotels, which should I do?

Thanks

The Hilton has access to the Extra Magic Hours. The Wyndham does not. I don't know if that makes any difference to you or not.
