Is the word "hate" overused in today's society?

Like a lot of other words as well I think hate is a catch-all word for a lot of different feelings/emotions but it's not used in the proper context most of the time.

However, I hate terrorists and child molesters.

I really mean it too.

I don't know what it means but I do find it curious that every time the issue of gay marriage comes up someone always has to say something along the lines of "well if we let homos marry what's to stop us from letting someone marry an animal?"

What's with the fascination people who are against gay marriage have with bestiality anyway?

See how you are? You used language to imply that if homosexuals married, anarchy was mere moments away and no household pet would be safe from bizarre sex acts involving spontaneous explosion. And now you are denying it!
