Is the Wishes Dessert party worth the $27?

Please give me your input....I LOVE dessert, but it's $27 per adult for a 25 min party according to the dining CM I spoke to. Is this worth it? thanks!

We did the Dessert Party in April. There was a vast selection of desserts and I think the kids ate their weight in chocolate covered strawberries. The biggest negative for the Dessert Party for me was the fact that it is just above the smoking area so we had smoke constantly drifting up to us and that was disgusting. I would not do the dessert party again simply because of the proximity to the smoking area. Other than that, I think the desserts were worth the money - we got to the party at 9pm and desserts were out until 10pm so you have a full hour to eating.

Party starts at 9 pm (get there about 15 minutes early to check in). Party runs until 10:30 pm. 90 minutes, not 25 minutes, unless they're going to completely change it again. Call back and ask a different CM.

We thought it was wonderful; a whole new way to experience the parade (you can pretty much see all the floats in the 9 pm parade) as well as the fireworks. And Tink literally flies right in over your head!

Oh I see! The times he gave us were 25 min slots, then said we could wait around for the fireworks show. Made me think that we could eat for 25 min, then stick around, I thought they start putting food away after the 25 min. I do think the CM was new as well, took him a long time to answer simple questions (looked like he was looking up everything as I was asking), such as prices for this.

Nope. We didn't think it was worth it when we paid $17.00 last July, so I think $27.00/adult is crazy.

The food and drinks were warm, mushy, way too many cream desserts, took forever to check in, cleared tables way too early, extremely stifling hot in the venue and right above smoking area. Yuck! Hubby says desserts were not that good at all, and he's had way better at many of the TS restaurants on property. Also, contrary to what people keep reporting on here, you cannot see the parade - you are way too far away from Main Street to only see a few lighted up floats go by.

Although we got some great shots of Wishes, I am not a huge fan of the Dessert Party in its current venue. I've had heard it has improved a bit with different cooling stations for the desserts based on what I've read, and could quickly see as I went past it last week.

Tiger :)
