It worked fine for me last year. A lot depends on the location of your room compared to the closest router. We moved (split stay) to Wilderness Lodge and it was terrible. My friend called for help and it did help some, they said they reset a router.
At every DVC resort we noticed poor internet connection at certain times. And it is worse than it used to be when members only used their DVD players. So I expect that streaming by many guests are affecting the speed. However in the morning or early afternoon it usually is fine. I have only stayed at once at VGF and it was the same mornings good and slowly deteriorated by evening.
bandwidth depends on what you are attempting to do through the pipe. We experienced no issues there checking email and utilizing the Internet. However we did not stream or attempt large downloads of data.
