We are trying to plan a vacation for our 20th Anniversary in December and our daughter's 6th birthday in November... I know Thanksgiving week is crazy busy at the park & resorts but I was wondering if November 28 - Dec 3rd would be crowded since it drops down to value season with the least amount of points necessary?

Thanks for any help or advice!

Parks are not too busy, however, it is very busy (if not the busiest) for DVC resorts, due to low points and holiday decorations and events, so you'll need to book early as possible...

Are you talking about this year? Because you may have a lot of problems getting a reservation this late in the game. The time you want is probably the most popular time for DVC members and many book right at the 11 month mark to make sure they get it.

Yeah, we're going there 11/30 - 12/5.

It was kind of a whim when my DW and I decided to go. I called in at oh, say the 6 month mark and had a hard time finding a studio anywhere on property. They had tons of inventory at SSR at that point - so I was going to take it as I've never stayed at SSR. While I was on the phone booking, the CM said "oh look, a standard view studio just opened at AKL" so I grabbed that. Everywhere else was booked solid for that week.

Never beek to AKL so it should be a treat. My only regret is that I can't get a Savanah view room. I've got that waitlisted, but when I last checked they only had a Savanah Studio for 12/1 and 12/9 (and I don't want to change rooms mid trip).
