Is the walking ship tour worth it?

We still went to those places. They aren't "open" at that point so it wasn't a big deal.

Yet another thing that was special for adults goes by the wayside. So sad.

I've done the orientation tour several times. Adults are mostly interested. the Kiddos get bored quickly and want to leave or end up leaving the tour. You'd (is this a word ) be surprised how fast your kids will pick up the layout of the ship, and how by the end of the cruise you will still be getting lost.

First cruise on the Dream in October. I have been looking at navigators and see the walking ship tour early on the first day.

I have been worried about being able to find my way around and thought it might be useful to attend the walking tour. I also am worried about our kiddos (10 and 12) who will be able to leave clubs on their own finding their way around as well.

If you did attend it do you think it was helpful or do you think you would have eventually found your way around without it?

We did the walking tour on our 1st cruise which was on the Dream. I thought it was pretty useless. They only showed us stuff on decks 3 and 4. My daughter was extremely disappointed because they didn't show us the kids club or the pool which were the only things she was interested in.

Good news, just off the Dream. It was 18+ again for the Art of the Theme Show tour.

Irregardless of a walking tour, i would never tell my "kiddos" to meet me anywhere on the ship unless they were teenagers... in that case they would not be "kiddos". Too many young kids walking around by themselves. The ship is a small city, to be treated as such.

Off topic question, @PrincessShmoo, Cove/Vista Cafe snacks, are they supposed to be free in general or only with a coffee purchase? We asked the woman for a couple and she was very snooty and acted like it was some big deal to give them to us without buying a coffee. This was the first time we had wanted to try any.

The snacks are included in the cruise fare. No coffee purchase is required.

We were another group of first timers who did the walking tour our first day and thought it was pretty useless. They walked us around Decks 4 and 5 on the Dream to show us the public areas and that was it. There was no fun information or tips or shortcuts. We could have easily walked around the decks by ourselves and been just as familiar with it.
