Is the spring room rate cheaper than an AP rate?

We are going 4/29-5/4 and got POR for $104/$114(weekend)night. We have been averaging two visits a year now that my mil lives in Orlando. I was thinking of getting an AP for all five of us, but I am not sure that it would really be a savings if we only go twice a year. Maybe we would go more if we had it. (which would make me happy!!!)

Are the rates really better than the room only rates that I usually get in May and Nov.? Cause the tickets are still cheaper purchasing twice a year plus parking than an AP.

What are the typical deluxes that are discounted? Do they go for a lot cheaper? We would love to stay at Boardwalk or one of the MK deluxes (GF, Poly, or Cont.) if they were $200 or less a night. Is that an impossible dream??? We got Boardwalk at the equivalent of $200/night last Nov. with the extended FD offer.

Thanks for any info and help. I appreciate it!

I have an AP, and rates for end of April are pretty good, but not under $200/night unless you are booking AKL or WL. Poly garden view is $289/night, and YC/BC/BWI standard view is $254/night. (add 12.5 % tax to all rates) AKL standard view is $164/night, pool view is $10 more. HTH. :goodvibes

I wish that I could stay at the AKL or WL! They should add some trundle beds there! That's an amazing rate for a deluxe.

So it looks like the AP rates are about $15/night cheaper than the public's room only discounted rate. Hmm.

I'll have to do some more number crunching.

Thanks so much for the info! I really appreciate it.
