Is the skyliner worth a special trip?

We will have 2-day park hoppers, staying off site. I am wondering if it is worth hopping from Epcot to HS and back just to ride the skyliner. Thanks!!

We like it! It’s a Fun experience. We did all the lines on a day we didn’t go into the parks. If you are going to hop from Epcot to HS anyway that’s a great way to do it

Epcot to DHS is the easiest/fastest park hop (especially since the Epcot monorail is not running)

I’ve heard there can be long Skyliner lines around the 2pm hour when everyone wants to start hopping.

As a note, you can’t hop to DHS to get a Rise boarding group, but if you want to add a few DHS rides to an Epcot day, then I would do it.

Its a fun trip. I'd do it once just for the experience. But, I wouldn't exclude something else that was of interest just for the ride.

I don't imagine there's a universal answer to this. We've been twice since the Skyliner opened and it's among my 13yo's favorite things in the world. Last trip we took the bus from AK to Riviera just to take the Skyliner back to Pop.

On a really short trip? You said you have hoppers, would you not hop if not for the Skyliner?

It's fun, and efficient. And a great way to get between Epcot and DHS. But for such a short trip, it's not worth time away from the parks unless you were going to go between those two parks anyway.

We rode the Skyliner from Epcot to the Riviera got off and rode it back. It was about a 30 minute round trip. A pleasant ride, but you do see all the things that Imagineers work hard to hide from you. Ugly buildings, loading docks, access roads, etc.

Absolutely!

It is an ATTRACTION IMO and as much fun as many attractions in the Parks.

It is the HAPPIEST FLIGHT ON EARTH!

I think we probably will try to do it! I should have given more info. We are “regulars” and former APs, although this will be our first trip since covid. But we’ll be adults-only this time, so mostly just walking around and soaking in the atmosphere. Can’t wait!!

Yes. Skyliner is a hidden gem, especially midday. Just tell the guy when you hit the station you missed your stop And stay on. I also recommend a portable Bluetooth speaker and a flask of your beverage of choice, cheers,

Get a breakfast ADR at Topolino’s and check out Riviera before going to Epcot or HS!
