We really enjoyed our 1st cruise on the Magic this May. So much so that we booked again for next May! :cheer2:

Both my DH and I think we will have a much more fun the second time around and we think the kids will too. Since we will be familiar with the ship and the way things work, I think we will be able to take advantage of more of the things DCL has to offer.

For those who cruised DCL more than once, did you enjoy your second trip more than your first? :scratchin

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was worried about that too on our second trip. We were even more relaxed because we knew where things were and how things were done. It was an even better vacation the second time around, which says a lot, becasue the first time was absolutely awesome too!

WITHOUT A DOUBT!

My DH and I had SO much fun on our second cruise last month that we booked our 3rd for May 20, 2006! :cool1:

We actually enjoyed the second cruise more as we felt a little more "seasoned"!

Absolutely!  We've been fortunate enough to have taken 6 DCL cruises so far (we're all Cast Members) and enjoyed each one as much as the first.

Best wishes.

Let's hope so......It's our second as well  Married2Grumpy....I'm cruising with you in May  :jumping1:

Our first cruise was so fantastic that I was apprehensive before our second cruise. I was afraid that we would be disappointed because we would be comparing everything to the first. The second ended up being incredible and we had the added bonus of making good friends with a fellow DISer's family who we will be crusing with again in December. There is still alot that we haven't done on the ship & I think that it is going to take alot more cruises before we can say that we have done it all. :)

The 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th are better as well.....going on #14 for August repo!!!

Maybe not more than the first..but just as much. You definately get to try different things, explore..a lot more than you did on the first cruise. We were just on for 14 nights and still haven't explored everywhere and done everything. There is just too much to do.

Our first cruise was a surprize gift from my MIL to the family. Well we didn't have time to do research so we missed alot of things. So we were more prepared for the second one. But we were also more relaxed on the second one because we knew if we missed something that we could just do it on the third cruise.

It looks like there are many repeat cruisers on DCL. I would think that after 2 or 3 cruises on the same ship it wouldn't seem as Magical. ;)

I guess I'll have to find out for myself. :)

We just came back from our 6th DCL cruise. We rebooked on board and #7 will be next August. The cruises just keep getting better and better! Disney does so much to keep that magical feeling. There are new shows, new dinner menus, new trivia/games, etc. My first cruise was with Disney. Now, I'm scared to try other cruise lines because I feel that I started cruising with the best!

The Magic is the one place in the world where my family can go & I get to truely relax & get a break. Now that DD says that she wants to go in the club with DS & their friend I might get even more time to relax. :) That makes it magical for me.

This is also my 6th cruise ,and everyone, has been more magical than the last. keep going and you wont regret it. :flower:

Because of the distance and the cost we have a deal that we can only take a cruise every other year. We don't want to get sick of it, but it is hard to keep it at every other year. I can't imagine it would ever lose it's magic.

Actually, it surpassed cruise # 1. It just felt much more relaxing since we now knew where everything was located on the ship. The kids knew just what to do at the clubs, and I am looking forward to cruise #3 in 2006. :Pinkbounc

I tried to cram too much into our first cruise, and took advantage of cruise #2 to enjoy it.

We had just as much fun if not more, on cruise #2.

We have #3 coming up in Feb 06, and I have a request to inventory control for a back to back Wonder cruise in Feb 07.

Yes, I think the cruises get even better. The first is very exciting, seeing new things, how beautiful the ship is, the sound of the horn, the friendliness of the CM's. The second is more enjoyable because you get to enjoy more new things, plus all the things you found so MAGICal on the first one. And this board also makes it more enjoyable, as you get to learn/research more and more things about the ship.

I don't know if anything will ever take the place of that FIRST experience on a Disney ship for me, but our second trip was better because it was longer! Our first cruise was a 3 day, the second a whole week!
On your first cruise everything is new...which is great! On your second you look forward to the things you enjoyed from before and can try other activities you missed the last time and there's new stuff as well...even better!
For reasons I haven't quite figured out yet, I like the Wonder a bit better than the Magic. So back to the Wonder we go, for a 4-day this time. But for a romantic cruise without our DD! I think this will be the most relaxing cruise yet!
