Is the pull down bed at riverside the same as the cars suites?

Thinking about booking at Riverside for the fifth sleeper, but I was wondering how comfortable that bed is for an adult? I slept on the pulldown bed at the car suites in May and it was the worst thing I’ve ever slept on at Disney lol. Just wondering if it’s the same kind of situation?

My understanding is that the fold down bed at Riverside is intended for a child. It’s a ‘child-sized sleeper.’

Well poo. I guess that’s why that cars suites bed was so uncomfortable. The “mattress” was paper thin.

The 5th sleepers are on the narrow side, like not much over 30” and about 66” long. I don’t think it’s going to be more comfortable than cars suite options.

The mattress isn’t necessarily bad. My kids have slept on that single pullout even at nearly 5’6” and 135lbs without complaint. I’d guess about 150lbs the limit though, where it’s very likely to be uncomfortable.

Did they put new mattresses on the pull-down beds in the suites? Anytime we've stayed there (most recently last June), the mattress on the pull-down bed was at least 8" thick and was a standard mattress -- nothing close to what I would consider "paper thin". I guess it's good you slept on that bed, because the sofa bed has an even thinner mattress (more like 5-6"). If your pull down bed mattress was really thin, I'm wondering if it was some kind of temporary replacement. I've seen people say they didn't like the firmness/softness of that mattress (which is a personal preference), but I don't think I've ever seen someone say they consider it to be thin. The pull down beds in the suite aren't just designated "for kids". In 6 stays, we've always had adults sleeping on that bed -- sometimes couples and sometimes "pooh sized" adults and no one has ever complained about it and in fact, they all thought it was good. There are no posted size/weight limits posted anywhere in the suite or on the website that I've seen that indicate it is anything other than a standard full-size bed. I'd say if you didn't like that bed, you definitely won't like the 5th sleepers because they seem to have thinner mattresses than the suites. And as a PP mentioned, they're really sized for someone about 5' tall or less. I hope you're able to find something that works for you.

Which bed did you sleep on?
The pull out sofa bed or the pull down table bed?
Sofa bed I get is uncomfortable and has a thin mattress and you can feel the bars.
But the pull down table bed has a regular mattress and a full board bottom so maybe its just that the ones at AOA need to be replaced.

I've slept on the pull down table bed at POP, Movies, and Sports and have found it just as comfortable as the regular bed.

At Riverside the pull down is small like a cot. I could probably curl up and sleep on it but I'm not sure how well I'd truly sleep and you want to sleep well at Disney.
The mattress on that is also better than a pull out sofa bed but I don't think its a normal mattress like the pull down table bed.

The Riverside "bunk" is for a child and more the size of a larger crib mattress.
Crib 28" x 58"
Riverside bunk 33" x 66"
Twin bed 38" x 75"

The fold down bed in the AoA suites is a Queen Bed 60" x 80".






The AllStar Music Suites now have 3 Queen Beds, all real mattresses.
