Is the play area by splash mountain open?

When my youngest was small, there was a small play area for kids right by the entrance to splash mountain so you could wait for your party (this is for kids who are too little to ride). Is that still there, and is it open right now? And are there any other areas like it by big rides? My older grandson can ride anything except space mountain this year, but the younger one can't, so we will be using baby swap on at least Splash, Mine Train, and Big Thunder.

When we were there in December, NO play areas were open in any of the parks because Covid. When are you going? They might be open by the time you get there. (or have opened since we were there......I'm sure there are more informative answers coming your way)

yeah, just so disappointed to see a play area and they can't go in. Especially if they remember it from last time.

I remember holding my youngest once outside space mountain--he was 3? And he was having a full on tantrum because his sisters both were going on the ride. I hope to avoid that this time if I can, but I'll have to get creative!
