I have read a lot of negative reviews about it. Just thinking its to convienent to grab a pizza and head up to our room for a snack or lunch, but most people compare it to cardboard :( Does anyone like it?

The pizza in WDW is no good in our opinion. It is nothing like the pizza you will find up here in Boston.

I thought it was pretty bad. The crust was cardboardy -stiff and tasteless. The sauce was bland. We just bought a single slice and it tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, maybe if you order the whole pie it is better.

However, the calzones at the Boardwalk pizza window were outstanding! We ordered the 4 cheese and it was freshly baked, piping hot and just oozing with cheese. I'm getting hungry just thinking of it!

The pizza at the pepper market at CS was pretty darn good!

Do you mean the pizza you can get delivered to your room. If so, I am sure all the resorts have much the same pizza, from what I have read in other posts. We tried this at Port Orleans and it was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend it.

The pizza window was just okay pizza. The pizza from Tubbi's at the Dolphin is really good, and very reasonably priced.

OOOO. BAD! I am not picky either, but I expected better than the kind of pizza you get in the freezer section at Stop and Shop.:(

We liked this pizza. Certainly not the best we ever had, but it was hot, fresh and tasty. I would not compare it to a supermarket frozen pizza nor did it taste cardboardy to me.

We ordered a whole pizza pie to eat outside and it was horrible! We threw away over 1/2 of it!

The sauce was very bland, crust like cardboard, and the cheese was a gelatinous mess!

The pizza over at Tubbi's in the Dolphin was 100% better! Hot, fresh, and no cardboard like texture!

Is this the pizza at the Spoodles take out window? Is Spoodles awful? We were thinking of eating there.

We had pizza there a few times during our stay and it was okay, nothing great but certainly edible. What was really great was the hot dogs from the cart on the BW and anything from the Bakery! If you are staying at BW you might consider eating at the Leaping Libations bar, we had chicken ceasar salads there that were pretty good. They had a variety of sandwhichs, dogs and salads.

We've never had the pizza from the walk-up window but Spoodles is one of our favorite restaurants in all of WDW. The flatbreads are very good and we have never had a bad dish there. We usually eat a sampling of appetizers instead of an entree.

J. Galt - Even though the take out window is at Spoodles, they seem to be two different creatures. I highly recommend Spoodles (especially for breakfast). The flatbreads at Spoodles are also quite good.

I don't know why the pizza at the takeout window is so bad, epecially when the calzones are so good.

Hmmm.... Interesting. I guess I don't have a very educated pizza palette. But then, in Virginia, we're not really known for our pizza.

I've always loved the Boardwalk pizza - actually build a meal into my itinerary every trip to get some. I've always thought the crust was fresh and crispy, not like cardboard. And I thought the sauce had a nice zip to it. Maybe it depends on how fresh it is when you buy it, and maybe I've always been fortunate enough to get it right when it's out of the oven. Tastes good to me though!

And whether or not you like the pizza - I don't see how anyone could not like Spoodles. It's one of the most consistently good restaurants at WDW - I've never gotten a bad meal there and have tried several dishes, all wonderful. Moroccan Tuna and the Rigatoni are standouts, but the chicken spaghettini is also very very good.

I have tried the take out pizza from Spoodles 3 times with the most recent in May and every time it has been not good at all to put it mildly. I like Spoodles restaurant food and the calzones from the take out window and even the meatball subs from the take out window are ok but the pizza--no way. But to be perfectly honest I have never had a good pizza at any WDW eatery. The flatbreads at Cal Grill, Mama Melrose and Spoodles are a different story, they have always been consistently good. I think a lot depends on what area of the US you are from and what type of pizza you are used to. In the Northeast the good pizza usually does not have 2 inch thick doughy crust with very bland sauce and toppings, which unfortunately is what the take out window pizza at Spoodles serves. The flat breads at CG, MM and Spoodles are much more similiar to pizza in the Northeastern states--nice thin/medium crust with a tasty sauce and good toppings. BTW, all 3 times we tried take out pizza from Spoodles or the various times we tried pizza at other WDW eateries we always ordered a whole freshly cooked pizza and it was always terrible, but that is just our opinions and tastes. On the other hand we have always loved our freshly cooked flatbreads from CG, Spoodles, MM, so I really think it is a matter of what you are used to and what appeals to your tastes.

we HATED the pizza and my kid will eat just about anything! we ended up ordering another full meal by room service. if you want a good pizza and caesar salad to go with it try Palio's - its almost never crowded, its quiet and they serve great bread and dipping oil while you wait!!!:p

We found the pizza at Tubbi's in the Dolphin to be surprisingly good. It was made to fresh to order & worth the wait. I agree with vicb about the hot dog cart. The foot-longs must be a half pound & the fries are good too.

one thing this post shows is that when it comes to pizza, everyone has their own opinion of what a good pie is. my wife and i had some pizza from the take out window, and while it wasnt the greatest, it was fresh, cheesy, and certainly edible. i'd get it again if i was there and in the mood for pizza.

Thank you everyone for your replies!!

I think I am definaltey going to give the calzones a try, they sound YUMMY!!!
