Is the Photo Pass worth cost/time at DL/DCA???

What I'm worried about is purchasing the stock CD (the one with general pictures of Disneyland with the coupon for a free Photopass CD inside) at the park and then coming home, looking at the pictures, and finding out the pictures don't really look all that great. The last time I went to DLR, we looked at the pictures at home, and none of them were worth buying.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. It's an easy dilemma to solve. You probably shouldn't buy the stock CD unless you really want those stock photos that are on it. And if you do want that stock CD, then the coupon you get for your own free photo CD will be a bonus, and your photo CD will be totally free, even if you don't like the photos on it.

Some people will feel like their photos are worth buying; others will not. If you have already seen photos in the past and you didn't like them, you may not like another batch of them. Because of that, you should probably wait to buy anything until you have at least seen the photos first, I think. So in your case, I would skip the stock CD unless those particular stock photos appeal to you. But if you do buy it, getting 2 CD's for the price of one is a great deal!

I wish they have photographers at Grand Cal lobby. I would love to have them take pictures for us there.

It would be nice if there were photographers in the Grand Callifornian lobby year-round, but there are photographers in the lobby with Santa during the holiday season, in front of the lovely tree, and I think that on Halloween day/night, there is a special photo spot set up with photographers (only actually ON Halloween, though - not for the whole Halloween season).

Thank you for the help, I am going to use photo pass, and your reasons have been why I was really wanting to use it!!!!
If I buy the CD, and have it shipped? how much is it? 59.99? and I can look at the pics, and or edit~ before~ We buy????, or ????
Thanks, I just am super excited and can't wait!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Yes, I think the price is still $59.95...for pretty much an unlimited number of photos or versions of photos. And shipping - if you are in the U.S. - is something like $2.95 (maybe it's just over $3.00 now - I haven't ordered since December:confused3). If you live outside of the U.S., I think there is an extra $10 or so tacked on to the shipping price, so it's probably something like $12.95 or $13.00.

If you "Like" the Disney's PhotoPass Service page on Facebook, you will often times see special discounts and promo codes for things before they become widely known. Sometimes they even offer exclusive Facebook discounts. That's how I've learned about a $15 discount (twice) - by seeing it on Facebook first.

Yes - you can look at all the photos, share them with other people (small versions of them) via PhotoPass' e-mail share option, and edit the photos in different ways before you ever buy anything! Once your very first photo is taken, you have 30 days from that point to open your PhotoPass account and enter in the code on the back of your PhotoPass card(s).

After you have initiated the account and pulled up your photos, you will have another 30 days from that point to edit, view, share and decide if you want to buy something. So if you time it right, you could have 60 days to make a purchase!

Do you have a hotel room w/ free internet access? You can log in anytime and upload the pics. That way you can look at the pictures each night and decide if it's worth buying the gallery CD/photopass CD in the park. The only thing to remember is that this means when you get home you'll have less time to review, add borders and order.

Another option is that you can go to the photopass store at the end of Main Street and you can quickly look at the images before you decide to by the CD. You won't have a ton of time but it should at least give you and idea if you like the images.

As for the gallery CD - I personally found it great for filler scrapbooking pictures. It's basically impossible for me to get pictures of the castle w/o people in them, characters we didn't see, rides, etc.
