Is the parking free at Downtown Disney?

We're not staying at a Disney resort and we'll be renting a car there..

Just wondering how to get to Downtown Disney...is there shutter bus to Downtown Disney from each park?

Or we need to drive there and is the parking free?

It is free for guests of DTD who are exploring that area. It is not intended to bypass paid parking at the parks.

There is no direct transportation to any of the parks for that reason.

DTD is fairly easy to find when driving to the property (signs will show the proper exit to take) but off the top of my head, I cannot remember specific directions.

So lets say I am going to MK during the day through shuttle from my resort I would have to shuttle back to my resort first and get my car and drive to DTD after?

You can take a shuttle from MK to a hotel and then to DTD.

But then you'd have to figure out how you are getting to your hotel. It would take you probably about an hour and a half to do it that way. (minimum.)

I think the Downtown Disney Bus stops at the TTC and from there you can go anywhere.
