I am making restaurant reservations today do cafe mickey, inventions and plaza gardens - should I book them for 8pm for our evening meal? We go on Sunday and don't want to miss the parade (assuming there's only 1 parade) but need to have enough time to get to the restaurants.

Or would we be able to eat before 8pm? Thanks

I would say 8pm is just about right, because you have to leave a little time to 'escape' the parade crowds. I have also experienced the parade being a little late on a few occasions, so 8pm should allow for that, should it happen :)

The parade starts at 7 near its a small world if you were to watch it near the end by the train station it could easily be 7.15 by the time it gets to you. Then you are closer to the exit to get out. Do you have little ones with you? When we booked Cafe Mickey I let DH run ahead and get our table reservation as I kept getting stuck in the crowd with the push chair. A lot of people leave after the parade for the same reason to eat. X

Yes we have a 6 and almost 4 year old.
Would you recommend booking it for 8pm too? We wouldn't normally eat so late as they're usually in bed around 7pm in the uk but I want them to stay up for dreams and was planning to let them have a sleep at the hotel before the parade.
Should we book all our meals for 8pm?
Want to do inventions and plaza gardens too.

you could do Plaza Gardens before the parade and after your afternoon nap, as thats inside the park, very close to the parade route, and doesnt involve characters you could book for 5.30pm, have an hour there for dinner, then be out in time to get a good spot for the parade at 7pm.

I would think inventions would be fine at 8pm as you are so close to DLH any way.
Plaza gardens can you book for dinner. Sorry I have only ever ate there at lunch time.
Cafe Mickey I would just let some one go ahead and get there in time for the reservation.

We always take DD back for a nap even though she has more energy then us lol.

Its going to be a long day as we might do the early magic hours so they'll def need a nap in the afternoon.
Hopefully I can make the reservations for the times I want, I was too unorganised to sort it before now.
I think you can book plaza gardens, maybe no need to but at least if its booked I won't have to stress about where to eat.

Yeah we have never made it to EMH. We are character hunters now we have DD we don't do many rides any more.

I would book everything you can better to know you have the reservation.

You can book PG for dinner, at least we did in April - we booked in when we got there so hopefully you won't have a problem :)
