The same lounge as the one by the California Grill Lounge area? If not, what is the one by the CG called? Do you have to have ressies, and how difficult is it to get a table there? Do they still allow you to go out on the deck from the lounge/bar at CG? Thanks for any help.

The Outer Rim is (was?) on the fourth floor.

Last I've heard, they no longer allow folks up to the 15th floor without ADRs. Can someone confirm/refute that?

You are correct. We were advised that you need to have dinner reservations in order to go up. They instituted this when they made the restaurant check-in on another floor. The Outer Rim is a great place for a drink.

Can you tell me if it's hard to get a table at the lounge after dinner?
Thanks,
Gerri

In February (2006) we were allowed upstairs to the Cali Lounge and we did not have ADRs, however, this was right at 5:00. We were also able to return later to see the fireworks with our receipt.

I do not know if the policy has changed since then.

You had to request this at the check-in desk on the 2nd floor, and I would assume this is subject to availability.

We were at the CR two weeks doing a Monorail lounge tour. I asked about the CG lounge and the response was, you'll have to go and see if there is room. We did, and there was. We didn't have ADRs, and they didn't make it an issue.:earsboy:

What is a Monorail Lounge tour?

Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi Sean and Christine  My reference to Monorail lounge tour is a simply boarding the monorail and stopping at each of the three resorts for a drink and maybe some appetizers. It's a nice way to while away a few hours and stroll around the resorts for a few minutes, check out the shops, etc.
Our recent "tour" helped us kill time between a Disney wedding and the reception that was about 2.5 hours later. Needless to say, we didn't need much "punch" by the time we arrived at the reception. :earsboy:
